I thought I am holding it upside down but I didn't. Every bike water bottle I own has grooves to prevent it from falling out of the holder when doing crazy maneuvers on an MTB, for example. So, the bottle holder has to have a mechanism for the bottle to snap into. But this one doesn't. The description states "MTB". But maybe this means Mother's Touring Bike -- then it will hold up just fine ;)3 Stars for being made of Carbon Fiber.

I really like the look of the carbon fiber. Holds my stainless steel water bottle without scratching it. Fits perfect. This is mounted on my Catrike. 8/1/2020 This is a follow up purchase of 2 more of these bottle holders. My neighbor did some bike work for me and admired the holders so as payment I bought 2 for him they are beautiful on the bike. This company is also great to deal with. 5 stars all around. Follow up 8/2/20, attached are photos of the holders on my friends catrike, holds the bottle perfect and looks great,very light.

I chose this bottle cage for its smooth clean lines which blend well with my wife's elliptical where it is installed. It seems sturdy and well made.
