Corsiglia is a family business that was founded in 1896. The founder, Giovanni Battista Rafetto opened the first store selling Marrons Glacés in New York City. He was later joined by his wife, Nicoletta Corsiglia, and her nephew, André Corsiglia. After training under his uncle for several years, André settled in Marseille in 1896. There, he introduced the production of these glazed candied chestnuts in France. Since then, Corsiglia has been run by six generations of family members who continue to maintain the artisanal process of making premium fruit products. It is a recognized brand, known for its excellent service and wide range of premium products, supplying the most famous pastry chefs in the world.

Absolutely delicious but quite sweet. I love them
Absolutely delicious but quite sweet. I love them. However there are only 8 chestnuts in the jar so with the shipping it comes out to about $4.50 per chestnut but they are large and of excellent quality so it is worth it. Too bad there is no free shipping on these as they are over $25. per jar

grainy, tasteless
I have never eaten chestnuts, so have no frame of reference or comparison. These tasted like nothing but sugar and the texture was unpleasant.
