Great pair of boots!
Bought these boots and immediately loved the style, fit, and comfort of them. Next day wore them as I rode my motorcycle into work. Ended up getting into a nasty accident and scooped up by ambulance to spend the day in the hospital. A few broken bones, bruises, sprains, the works. However! My feet and ankles were unscathed, and the boots only had a few minor scuff marks and one puncture near the ball of my foot on the instep but the boot prevented anything from harming my actual feet. Won't be riding anytime soon, but definitely will buy another pair simply on principle cause these are great!

A nice deal on some snazzy biker boots
I couldn't find my last good pair of dress shoes this week, so I had to order some good dressy butcasual boots for an event, and these popped up on here at $43 which seemed like an unheard ofdeal, and they were. The boots shipped in two days, pristine, they fit like a glove even with doublesocks, are padded with plush sherpa type material inside, tongue is padded, and they zip upand it's easy to put them on and no sweat on that. They look bloody brilliant with the buckleson left and right outside ankle, and definitely seem well made and durable. Someone saidon here that they didn't last more than a year or two, but at $43 that's not too bad. I got thesein size 8 black. US sizing. I went right from box to the event, and they couldn't have been anymore comfortable! That's rare there was no break-in time required! What a bargain. These canalso pass for dress at at event, or just day to day wear, or whatever. Padding is a real plus. The laces are there but mainly for effect, they just tied off at the top but could use some morelength, really.

OK, but not something that you want to wear.
I purchased these shoes about a week ago, walk about 8 miles-per-day on average, and use these as work boots in a maintenance setting, dealing with snow, water, and chemicals. They're pretty good, especially for the price. It's only been a week, but I'm satisfied with these as an intermediate to a pair of quality work boots. They are not waterproof, nor are they comfortable, but they have held up better than my previous pair of cheap footwear. The sole has not separated, nor has the "leather" cracked, and I walk about 8 miles a day dealing with water, snow and pool chemicals. They're not comfortable, but they're not unbearable. They're either too tight, causing pain on the top of my foot/front of my ankle, or too loose, causing chafing on the back of my foot, requiring two pairs of socks.Water does soak into them, and I can hear it "squish" out from between layers of the sole (which worries me), but they're also somewhat warm and soft when dry.In snow/ice, these are better than most shoes, but many dedicated boots beat them here. They're pretty decent when it comes to traction, looks, and durability (or so it seems), but come up short in almost every category, however, I'd buy them again at this price in a similar situation.I LOVE the zipper on the side. It makes them easier and quicker to put on, and it allows me to unzip and relieve some built up tension on my break at work. Admittedly, I did look at them and think that they appeared a bit "feminine", but the pros outweigh the cons. Zippered boots have utility.Basically, it's my "Friday", my feet hurt a bit, the back of my ankles are chafed, and my shoes sit in my closet, still damp from hours before, but my wallet is happy and both I, and my shoes, made it through 40 miles of walking in a workweek. I'll spend more next time, but I don't regret this purchase.

Nicely made, and a heck of a price!
I like to complain. No complaints here, which would normally prove very frustrating to me, but my feet feel so damn good, I don't know... ...I think I'm just going to let it slide for now. I think... I don't know... Ever since I started wearing those boots, it's like I don't have a complaint about anything in the world! I mean, the neighbors don't call me by my given name; around here, I'm known as "The Critic". And, believe you me, I did NOT skimp on attitude when it came to earning that nickname! Maybe a little back story would serve us all well at this point. It all started back in December of 1984. My parents and I rented out a shoebox in the dodgy area of Brooklyn's lower east side. It was colder than a witch's rack that year! Trust me - I've got what they call a "photographic memory", although that terminology doesn't quite do it justice, since there ain't no way to take a picture of the FEELING YOU GET WHEN YOUR BLOOD TURNS INTO A FRIGGIN' BLUE RASPBERRY SLUSHEE INSIDE YOUR GOD DAMN VEINS BECAUSE OF HOW FRIGGIN' COLD IT IS OUTSIDE!!--But, I digress... Anyhow, I got my Bruno Marc boots on right now, so I'm finding it incredibly hard to focus only on the bad part of this particular memory. So, where was I?......Oh, yeah! So, with the big guy in the red coat getting ready to be making his annual rounds, I decided that, since Pops was out of work at the moment, and Ma was already dipping into the inheritance money that was SUPPOSED to be for my damn college fund, providing I made it to the ripe old age of 21, and was ready to take my first foray into the exciting adult world of alcohol poisoning, date rape, and money swindling on some "prestigious" slice of extra green grass out there in the real world, I had decided to take it upon myself to get the lazy, heartless slumlord that rented out our stinky roach motel of an apartment about FINALLY providing us with, at the VERY least, a friggin' space heater for his more than loyal tenants over in 12-B. I didn't make the decision alone, mind you. The fam and I had spent the majority of the night just past figuring out who was going to work up enough nerve to march on down to that fat, sloppy, lazy a-hole's office uptown, and give him an earful, as long as his office was warm enough to LOWER Q
