I bought this to replace my psp 1000 battery, it work great and holds charge fine.Now this can work on a 2000 psp and 3000 but the battery will not fit so beware I recommend the 1200 mh battery for those models

My psp 1000 is working like the day I first bought it, which was the launch day wasn't a loser for about a week, lol. With this battery as soon as I put it in my 1000 lit up like Christmas no chip or circuitry issues from the psp itself not being used for almost 8yrs +. I had no fitting issue or the back case not closing. Like a previous review said check your battery wtt and volt as well as which model you have a 1000, a 2000 etc. If you do that which takes all of 30 sec you will have no issues on the hardware part, as for the longevity of the battery life I have no idea? Only had it for a day and don't play games for extremely long periods of time per say on handheld devices, if I get 4hr or whatever many rev are saying that's fine with me, but I'm assuming the short battery life people are complaining about also has to do with having the incorrect batt but even if not the batt is peanuts in the price compared to what it would likely cost for a Sony battery. I got the lumines and ridge racer bundle at Best Buy the day the first PSP was launched and only stopped playing after Apple Android iPad/ tablets with iOS 5.1 and higher games started coming out on smartphones and the psp Vita breaking my heart with it's poor game selection and lack support from Sony and the developers. However in the early years lumines fusion came out on the play store, but like many major titles like geometry war and others either stopped being supported or were actually removed from the play store. But if you had the old version It was still able to transfer over to any new phone. However whatever update the play store did this month January 2021, made many of the big titles that weren't able to be purchased in the Google play store prior unplayable including lumines, geometry wars still works so it could be some cloud based issue as I believe geometry wars is an offline game and lumines fusion needed a cloud/ memory connection or whatever. Any how is you have an old psp and are thinking about booting it up you have no need to worry about the proprietary batteries this one works great and I would recommend it to anyone with a psp they haven't used in a few years opposed to trying to push whatever juice may be left in the original Sony battery and they are just good to have as a backup.

The battery works when you put it in and it holds a charge. The only issue is that it’s slightly fatter than OEM, so you wouldn’t be able to put the battery cover over it. If you don’t mind playing with the battery cover off, then get it. But if you’re like me that prefers it to be covered, don’t get it. This is why I gave it 4 stars. It works, but I’d prefer one that lets me cover it. So I returned it

The battery works very well, just as advertised and as intended. I don't have the lag I used to get when just clicking through sections on my psp and my gameplay lasts longer now! The old battery (unbranded) would go out after 2 hours (sometimes less) of gameplay and needed over 4 hours to charge. Its' model number is PSP-S360 and came "new" from the ebay seller I got my Japanese psp from last month. I've had the Ostent battery for about 3 weeks now with zero issues and much needed improvements. In my review pics I blocked out the serial number for the console for safety, but the other pics just show how the battery looks and fits in the psp in comparison to the old battery. The old battery fit loosely but the Ostent battery fits very snug and I can close the battery cover easily with it inside.

I have been searching for a quality replacement battery for the original PSP 1001. The battery cover slightly lifts in the corners, but since this PSP is quite old, I believe I only need to replace the battery cover for it to function properly. Other than that, if feels durable and as for the battery, I will test the battery's actual longevity and provide a future update on this.

Decided to power up the psp after years of being in a box. Went to turn it on a noticed battery ballooned so I came across this one. It works fine so far only charged it once but only issue is the battery cover won’t fit back on psp. Seems the battery case is slightly bigger only down side. Might be returning.

Having dug out my old Sony PSP that has been sitting in the desk drawer for over 10 years. The original battery has died and swollen up where it was hard to remove the battery cover.This battery is a perfect fit in shape and size. Popped the cover off and pop the new battery in and my PSP is now working again.Was able to play some old games like Kill Zone and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 for about 2.5 hours before the battery needs to be recharged.Great working battery and highly recommend as a replacement.
