61221 Elite 12-Inch Groove Joint Pliers

This device was tagged "fencing" along with sabers, epees, foils, and a variety of books and movies involving sword play. It is utterly inappropriate for modern sport fencing, classical fencing, historic fencing, or any other form of swordplay. It lacks any edge, and the one apparent point is ninety degrees out of line. The rubbery grips dampen sensitivity for where the point should be, reducing precision control of the point. It has no guard or bell. At ten and a half inches, it does not have the reach to deal with even the most modest cutlass or hanger, much less a sport foil, or saber, which usually have thirty five inch blades. Although it looks solidly made, I suspect that it is too heavy for a timely riposte. I cannot recommend this tool for any form of swordplay. E M. Van Court

These pliers look good,I haven't had a chance to use them yet.I would recommend them to any do it your selfer.
