Sturdy belt and easy purchase
I needed a new belt. I've often purchased leather belts, but within maybe a year or two of wear, the belt shows extreme signs of wear. The leather cracks or peels and I need to get a new belt. Also, I have a larger waist size, so my choices are often limited. After reviewing the various belts on Amazon, I found Hanks Belts. While Hanks seems to feature gun belts, that isn't what I needed. What I did need, however, was a belt that fits and that would hold up year after year. Hanks Belts had a belt in my size and I ordered it. I've only had the belt a short time, but it is a solid piece of leather. I can only imagine that it will last a long time.Hanks makes the buying process easy. It stands by the product and the company will offer free exchanges if the belt is the wrong size. So long as you have a previous belt, though, I found that to be unnecessary. If you find the belt you wish to purchase on the Hanks Belts web site, you can get sizing information. It explains how to measure you existing belt and compare it to the belt you should order. I ordered mine that way and the sizing was perfect.Should you need a sturdy leather belt, I strongly recommend Hanks.

Great belt, great price, not just for CCW
Thicker than I thought, but haven't seen a crack or split yet after multiple wears. I'm rough on my belts and this FAR exceeds any 'genuine leather' belt I've bought in the past. You can really tell the difference between those belts and the full grain leather that Hank's uses. Not a CCW user, just use it as a business casual belt, looks good. I preferred the silver buckle over the black ones they often offer, and this is a big buckle (which it needs to be for such a thick belt) but I might switch it out for something smaller and see how it looks.

high quality and great warranty/customer service
I woukd give 5 stars, but just received it. I received the belt yesterday and feel that this is a high quality, leather belt. Well made. If what the vompany states "gets better with time," then I'll be a Hanks customer forever. Im rired of buying crap that cracks, breaks and peels. learned a lot about Full Grain v Genuine leather. I look forward to enjoying this product and purchasing another.

I like the fact you can unscrew and replace the buckle ...
This belt is the real deal. Solid piece of leather. I have bought the cheaper belts at Kohl's or JC Pennies for a little less than the half the cost of this one but with everyday use they lasted around six months. I could use this belt to tow a car if need be because it is so well made. Also, I like the fact you can unscrew and replace the buckle if need be because that is the only thing I could see that could break on this product. Only an increasing waist size could make this belt obsolete.

Wrong item
I bought this and got a single roller buckle and no stitching on an 1 1/4 belt.. completely wrong other than the color black.Probably a good belt? I won't know because it's probably going back

Quality and stiffness
Pricier than I am used to ... but well worth it. Very high quality leather... i have to get used to the buckle being 'out front' and possibly scratching something I bump into. I will be using it to hold up Levis when I have my SASS (Cowboy Action Shooting) double rig on. The situation needs a strong belt with no stretch or sag! Quite satisfied and will likely buy another.

Wal-mart belts suck
Thick leather, sturdy, durable, buckle could be less sloppy, definitely gonna last, leatherman pouch fits on it, fits through belt loops on dress pants, so sick of buying a new wal-mart belt every 3 months, finally no more wal-mart belts

Kind of ding'd up.... UPDATED
Belts frustrate me. They all say "Genuine Leather" and then the top scrapes off after a day of wear (Columbia- looking at you here- the belt I own from you is junk). I finally researched belts. Didn't think I'd need to, but apparently so. Um... it's a BELT. Folks- DO NOT BUY Genuine Leather belts. They are Garbage. Seriously, look online about "Genuine Leather". It's Marketing Speak for 'Cr*p'. My belt frustration and research lead me to Reddit. One of those that floated to the top of the pile was "Hanks Belts". I like this style and the reviews on Reddit and Amazon were pretty solid... though there was one Amazon review similar to the condition of my belt. Also, have a soft spot for the name "Hank".The photos in this post were taken literally 2 minutes after opening the Amazon package.1st- the belt was too small. This was on me. As one gets older, we apparently like to think we're more 'svelt' than we actually are. Pass the Cheetos, please...2nd- the buckle and the belt strap were scuffed and scratched (see the photos). I realize this can happen, but when opening for the first time, that's a pretty poor customer experience. The belt wasn't cheap (though it wasn't $400 like the ridiculousness on the Nordstrom website. Seriously people???) My belt will get scuffed up, for sure. But I'd rather it not show up looking used. I'm returning it for a larger size and we'll see if the next one's any better. Also, not real happy that even though I'm using an Amazon Locker for returns, it's going to cost me $7 for shipping.Update: Strike 2. The new belt came just a few days after posting this review. Very fast. However, the buckle was dented right across the middle of the buckle (see the last photo, just took it 5 minutes ago). I know it's 'just a belt' but it's a $70 belt and it shouldn't be dented. I don't think I would buy from Hanks again. Update: I walked out to my mailbox and inside was a shiny new buckle from Hanks. I changed my review to a 4 star. I will give them 5 for service, but the fact that I had to deal with this a few times lowered the rating. I DO recommend Hanks as they stand by their products and their service. Thank you, Hanks!
