Bare Minimum High-Quality Rosin Flux
Kester 245 is a very clean high-quality solder, with a minimum size core (1.1%) of halide free low activity flux (ROL0, per J-STD-004B). I use it when I'm using supplemental liquid or gel flux, (which I don't want to mix with my standard go-to Kester 44's flux). Kester 245 leaves the least amount of non-acidic residue. It is truly a no clean solder.

Great material
Worth the price point, makes soldering so much faster

It’s Kester! Melts Like Butter Hardens like Steel (well for tin solder. Lol)
What can I say? It’s Kester Solder. The Solder Industry Standard. It flows on like butter, hardens like shiny steel. Simply works. I use it mainly for soldering my Drones & Arduino as well as Rasberry P.I. projects. Kester solder simply performs as long as you’re using the proper percentage and type as recommended for your particular need. I will never again use lead free solder. Using Kester assures top quality possible every single time where any mistakes made are not due to this solder but the solderer be it the wrong temp, iron or technique used, etc.. I find it melts and flows perfectly for me especially on the numerous boards and wires contained in a drone at 390F to 420F but that’s a personal preference coming from someone who’s been soldering RC and drone projects over 15 years always coming back to Kester every time I’ve bought others at a cheaper or even sometimes more expensive price but what can I say? It’s Kester. Just buy it you won’t regret it.

Reddit approved.
Great quality solder! No more cold joints. I asked what the best solder would be on Reddit and this was the top answer.

SMD RGB, IC, Resistor MADNESS.....
Awesome product. I have worked with Kester my entire professional life as electromechanical engineer 35+ years and this company never lets me down. This is a new item I used and I love it the flow rate is so quick the components being soldered do not even have a chance to get to warm to handle at least for me. The joints look better than mechanical hot flow machines that mass produce pcb's and other items. Always a shiny well even flow no gaps the pads on the boards do not get hot to remove the glue so they stay in place. I soldered some really grody nasty joints on things today and the core worked great cleaning the area so solder flowed evenly and smoothly. Once again KESTER ou knocked it out of the park I will always buy this product and the company that I purchased it from well I had it the next day I think maybe day after I ordered it but that was awesomely quick KUDOS to you. You have my business from now on. I made on a personal level some SMD RGB 5050, 0603, 2835 LED'S to hook up wire 30 Gauge and this solder was the bomb the leds did not even get to warm to touch I took it out of the clip soon as I soldered the common wire flow rate is awesome on new products not to bad on rework either. GREAT JOB..... Kester 24-6337-8800 50 Activated Rosin Cored Wire Solder Roll, 245 No-Clean, 63/37 Alloy, 0.031" Diameter

Good stuff but globs up
In general I like working with this solder; but it does tend to collect, or 'glob up' on the end of my soldering iron. It's very 'sticky'. But it melts easier than the lead free stuff. I guess you should make sure you're in a well ventilated area when using this stuff, I don't think breathing in the lead solder fumes can be good for you. I'm using it mostly for arduino, raspberry pi, embedded programming type circuits. Haven't tried it w/ any SMD components yet. It will take me a long time to go through all of this solder, you get a good amount for your $. I'd buy it again and look forward to practicing more with it.

Best solder for electronics projects and repairs
Kester solder is the gold standard, and this is the recommended solder for electronics projects and repairs. Be aware that this contains lead, so be sure that your soldering station is well ventilated. You don't want to be breathing the fumes!
