Great product.
Great product. I'm a technophobe but even I found this easy to fit.

Does not work. Needs drivers. No support
Does not work. Windows knows there is something there, but it cannot start the device. Error codes 10 and 24. Those are definitely driver and bad hardware errors. This does not come with drivers. Searching online is difficult since this has no model number. Checked on VIA website (this uses VIA chipset) but they don't list drivers for any USB 2.0 devices for Windows 7 or above. The supplier and distributor, Eastern Computers has not been helpful. Messaged them on Amazon and sent them a private email describing the issue. Perhaps they don't even have drivers or know where to get them from. This is a generic device. But a reply would have been nice even if it was just a sorry we can't help.Cheap, but that does not mean it's acceptable for it to not do what it should. I can get power from the ports, they just cannot communicate with anything. Have always had issues with VIA. Can't recommend this even at 3 quid. Try and get an NEC card instead.Edit: Turns out that Windows 7 is supposed to support all USB 2.0 hosts natively, therefore drivers are not supplied separately. Even so, there is clearly a problem with this device since Windows cannot do anything with it. An NEC card added in the same PCI slot was immediately and automatically recognised. Avoid VIA.
