I was really worried about my refrigerator temperatures. I had purchased a new refrigerator and I used a thermometer, an analog thermometer, and it kept showing really high temperatures, up to 43 degrees, even though I had the refrigerator set at 37, even 33 degrees. It also "felt" warm. Luckily, I read online that I shouldn't be measuring air temperature, which is what these thermometers were doing, but I should be measuring a liquid temperature. I had even purchased a better calibrated air thermometer and placed it inside the refrigerator, but it continued to have wide fluctuations and weird temperature readings. I even read that my refrigerator was notorious for having elevated temperatures on the door bins. So I found this specific temperature probe thanks to ChatGPT, and it uses a calibrated thermometer and the probe is placed inside a liquid, so it should be more accurate and representative of what the food is experiencing. I place the probe in various locations in the refrigerator, and then I leave the display outside and I can see the min and max over a period of time. And so far it has worked really well. It has reassured me that the temperature is within a safe range, and I can see what kind of temperature fluctuations there are over the course of a day. It's not going to log the data for you. For that you would have to spend almost $200 for something with data logging capability, but at least I can see the minimum and maximum temperature. I've also tested it in the freezer, and I see that my freezer is actually minus 6-8 degrees, even though I set it at minus 2, so I'll be adjusting the freezer to get it to within a more reasonable range of about minus 2 to minus 4 degrees Fahrenheit. Overall this is a pretty good quality product, and it helps bring me some peace of mind that my refrigerator is working properly and maintaining proper temperature.

Great professional use thermometer. We use it at our creamery for spaces where we need to show that the temperature is accurate and prove it to our state, federal and municipal inspectors as well as our 3rd party GFSI auditors. We adjust temperatures according to what this unit says rather than attempt to calibrate the far more primitive sensors on walk in chillers and refrigerators. The certificate was good for 24 months. Some great functions memory high and low etc. we have been using these for years and this unit has an improved probe with a larger glycol bottle. (Get the glycol option if you are establishing temperature stability and don’t need temperature swings every time a door is opened). Beware that if switching C° and F° you need to restart the unit. There is no connectivity at this low price and I’m ok with this. Super easy to set up. Comes with Velcro and magnet strips that make it easy to position in many spaces.

This has exceeded my expectations given the price point. It seems to be exceptionally accurate and is predictably stable given the glucose bottle. There’s really no setup required - it just works. I was using it to calibrate the thermometer in my Dometic cooler and the temperature difference between the bottom and the shelf (a disappointing seven degrees), and it performed flawlessly.

Great product. My hospital uses these for work refrigerators, and I got one for my home. Definitely nice to have a quality calibrated, - with min, max temp recording thermometer for the fridge.
