PMEPleat Patterned Side Scraper for Cake Decorating-10 inches, Acrylic,

THIS IS what I wanted though THIS Product is not as Wide as the more Expensive version it Should do the same job! This IS the Tall one about 9" & is wider width teeth than the "shorter square versions which are better used for STRIPING CHOCOLATE/ making striped curls" etc! Well I got it! This is the 1 I felt I wanted however i would have preferred the the more expensive 1 wider; bt It's ok, it's of course a little shallow/short in width(its what makes this 1 cheaper!) It tends to 'pull' the icing & so it's not as clean a look as I'd hoped!? Is ANYONE else experiencing this? I havent tried any other brand CS BT I will! It came with No 'how-to' instructions bt I read @it. I'll practice more until I get the results I want! Be Careful I think its prone to flexing or could Pop & break!! OH...bt bcuz these stripes Are wider if u want More stripes make 3rd layer 2/2-lyr the look will be more of what I'd want.

I tested this product on a simple practice cake, in which I did not have a cake board under it. The product worked perfectly! But when I used it on a cake I was transporting, so I needed a cake board under it, the grooves couldn't get close enough to the cake so the strips didn't turn out as nice as the first one I made. I would definitely recommend using this on a cake without a board under it.

I was so nervous to try it but it was great to use. I’ll probably buy other styles but my client was very pleased with her cake and I loved making it! The back is great to use as a regular smoother. Depending on your buttercream you may have to run warm water on them before smoothing but it works!

Used this to make a bee themed cake and worked great. I had to do it twice to get the hang of it. I found tilting the tool towards the. Ale got me a cleaner edge without having to use too much icing. I also opted to use a different bench scrapper I dyed of the straight side as holding it with the cut side in my hand was awkward and uncomfortable. Over all once you get the hang of it, works well.

Really great tool for every type of frosting.It's a little tall, but good for wedding cakes, and multi layer cakes. Got used to the tallness almost immediately. Glad it was clear acrylic to see what has been smoothed out. Made my very first striped cake, and was a success!

This was perfect for trying to frost stripes on a cake, left clean edges. Biggest recommendation is to have a black frosting base, use the striping tool, and pipe the white stripes in edges then smooth out. My failure was using a white base with black stripes. Didn’t think it would be a big deal but makes a huge difference. The tool worked perfectly, good spacing.

Dose the job well

Good tool to use but takes some getting use to. This creates medium size stripes on the cake.
