This is top-notch gear!
I dreaded this job and put it off for over a year. I even got two garage quotations for repair. One day the oil leak became too serious to procrastinate any longer. Eventually my Valve Cover Gasket (VCG) failed and began leaking onto my exhaust manifold. The smoke and smell were horrendous, the risk of fire was not acceptable and I could not negotiate with this repair any longer...This kit had everything I needed to do a top notch VCG replacement. This kit includes the 15 smaller round gaskets; 12 go around the VCG and 3 a centrally located inside the VCG area. Many kits do not include the 15 smaller gaskets but you will need them to a proper replacement. This part felt more flexible and pliable than the spent gasket I removed. It was a perfect fit and required zero re-work to fit.The BMW stealer-ship wanted nearly 8 times what I paid here. All in all, I saved over $400.00 doing this repair myself. I would do it all over again and order the same kit. This is top-notch gear!Hope you find this helpful!

A Complete Package
I didn't know without research that I needed not only the gaskets, but the grommet seals for each valve cover bolt on my 2000 BMW 528i wagon. It was good that I found a single package with all three gaskets as well as the 15 grommets. The shipping was fast and very reasonable - especially since I live in Hawaii. I pulled the valve cover off and noticed that the last person who changed the gasket had to use gasket sealer to keep the gasket from falling out during installation (I bought my car used), but I didn't have that issue with this set. Do make sure you bottom out the valve cover bolts during installation - don't worry about the expansion of the grommets. So far, no leaks noticed and everything is operating correctly.

Victor Reinz Valve Cover Gaskets Fail Prematurely w/ < 5000 miles
The Victor Reinz valve cover gasket I replaced in March of 2017 is now starting to leak on the exhaust side on my 330i. Side note, prior to buying the Victor Reinz for the E46 I had installed one on my E36 several years ago and it also prematurely failed. Oil ended up weeping into the spark plug wells which is a pain to clean. I took a gamble buying this for my E46 knowing that I may have an issue, and I do. Oddly enough, my E36 has a Felpro gasket from Autozone and it's doing a good job keeping things sealed up even after several years. Personally, I would stay away from Victor Reinz valve cover gaskets for these cars. How is it that an OEM cover can go 100k miles, and these are getting less than a year of use?

the cover torqued up perfect and level to factory specs with no leaks
As others have stated this gasket is a bit thicker than OEM, however I had no problems installing them on my 2002 530i. With new grommets under the mounting bolts, the cover torqued up perfect and level to factory specs with no leaks. I would buy this kit again if needed.

Highest quality no leaks
Tried to save some money...twice! Both times the gasket seemed fine but leaked even though the contact surface seemed fine. Finally coughed a few more bucks and presto, no leaks! It is truly a remarkable difference. It must have to do with quality and use of material science.

High quality German made gasket set
Gaskets fit perfectly on my 2001 BMW 330ci. After 104,000 miles the old gasket was very hard and brittle which made it nearly impossible to remove. You need to add a bit of rtv gasket maker to the corners of the half moons and by the vanos engine seams for a proper seal. Then tighten the 15 cover bolts evenly to 8 ft/lbs.

Easy
Went in without a hitch in my 2002 325i. The bolt grommets didn't exactly match the OEM, but it didn't matter, they worked fine. The gasket stayed in nice and tight when I installed the cover, which was nice. Pretty easy job, was the first time I'd ever done a valve cover gasket. Also did the Vanos seals at the same time with the Biesian kit.
