Sturdy one-piece construction
Too many slotted spoons are "two-piece" construction with the slotted bowl spot welded to the handle. This spoon is an improvement on the older, flimsier models. I would give this spoon 5 stars if the construction were just a little heavier, bulkier. We continue to get products from China that are scale models of what we need. This spoon is about a 75% solution to the need.

Wife's new favorite utensil to use. Better than the old "Thingamagig" utensil even when it was new.

Good quality
Got this because we lost our ancient Kitchamajig which is sadly no longer available. This can't really replace the old classic but it's a perfectly good skimmer on its own merits. Seems sturdy and well made and it gets used regularly. If this kind of utensil is what you need, this is a good one

Great for use as a Litter box Scoop
I bought this as a replacement for one I found in a store and lost in a move. It is ideal for litter box cleaning and scooping. If I was the manufacturer I would recommend also advertising sending sales people to pet stores like Petco and Pet Smart there is a big marketing opportunity with this item.

Nice spoon
Well made. Not flimsy at all. We use it to remove sliced tortillas from hot oil to make our own chips. Works great. We put it in the dishwasher with no problem

Used in Unusual Way
We used these to clean our kitties litter box! They are nice and sturdy, narrower than most " plastic cleaners" so you can fit the waste into most sizes disposal bags' openings. Work very well.

Best kitchen tool
I have several of these slotted spoons I call "kitchamajigs", some 40-50 years old with the name on them. Best overall kitchen tool made. Older ones are better made, but this one is great since it is stainless and much stronger. I use them for frying fish, etc., Beaufort stew, mixing, mashing, whatever. This one is not listed in Amazon when searching for kitchamajig. Don't know anyone who calls it a slotted spoon. Bought this one for a gift as I have others many times over the years.
