Works for connecting an iPod Touch to a car stereo via the headphone jack. The button gives eyes-on-the-road audio control without having to wake up the iPod's screen: one click for Play/Pause, two clicks to go to the next track, three clicks to go back to the beginning of the current track. When testing any cable like this, be sure to test it once, then reverse the direction of the cable and test again, because the two plugs are different. This product makes that difference obvious with one straight and one L plug. Negative reviews sometimes come from people who only plugged a cable in the wrong way. In my setup the plug closest to the pushbutton goes into the iPod, which happens to be the most convenient arrangement for using the button.

This cord seems very high quality and literally looks the exact same as the cord that comes with the beats. I got it for a set of n-tune monster headphones and it works great.The only downside to this cord is that the volume up and down keys do not work on my Galaxy S6. I have plugged it into iPhones and it works great. The Play/pause button does work on both phones though.

This is an EXCELLENT replacement cable. I was tempted to spend the $30 to get the authentic Beats one, but save your money - this one is identical.Before throwing my old one away (the remote part cracked and was coming apart), I compared the two side-by-side. There is the slightest difference where the remotes are located - this one is a little bit higher up. It also is a slightly longer. Audio-wise, this cable actually made my music sound better!I've been using it for a month now for about 4-8 hours at a time 4 days a week, and it still looks and performs like new.

Does its job, durable, and it's good quality material that won't break easy. My only issue is the quality of the mic itself. I kept getting complaints over my iPhone and ps4 mic that I sound "muffled" way more than a few times.

my kids got into a brawl, and the jack where the beats was plugged into an ipad took the hit. 10 year old got all upset, but i said, "chill, amazon will have a replacement". He likes this one better than the one that came with his cans. I think they are both OEM, but these have a better pausing mechanism. Good solid product, here. Nice work. Amazon strikes again.

Not bad replacement wire for beats. For the price can be a little better. The metel circle top part of the end of the cable came off on the first day. Does not skip songs or adjust volume on androids.

We bought them to replace the beats cord from the original because my son has an oral fixation to chew things! It works fine. However, only one side of the headphones work...

Got it today plugged it into my beats because I was a bit skeptical and the sound worked great but the in wire controll don't work at all and I was using them out of the package.
