CAP Barbell Workout Bar | Weighted Workout Bar | Exercise Bar

If you've ever taken a body pump class, which combines free weights and aerobic steps to music to work multiple muscle groups, then you likely understand how useful this bar can be. You can use it much like you would a free weight bar, but without the need to keep multiple sets of plates in your house.The workout bar is idea for benchpress, tricep extensions, lunges, squats, and more. As a 5'3", 120 lb female, the 15 pound bar is perfect for multi-rep toning (versus a heavier bar, which might be good for 8-10 rep sets). It rolls underneath the base of my couch for easy access and storage.I selected this bar over others, including the branded Body Bar, for a couple of reasons First, the caps on the end ensure that if you have multiple, you can tell which one is which. On the Body Bar, the colored bands on the ends often come off and it's nearly impossible to tell between similar weights, like a 15lb vs 25lb, without picking up the bars. Second, the fact that the end is a little larger than the bar ensures that you can get your fingers underneath it easily, making it easier to pick up and use. Third, since the ends are square, if you're storing it horizontally as I am under my couch, it prevents the bar from rolling off.Unlike other reviewers, I had no issues with the padding or the bar being dirty. Mine arrived VERY well packed (in fact, I thought the size of the box and added padding might have been a little TOO much) and inside a sealed plastic bag. I'll definitely be buying more of these in other weights.

I am very pleased with this workout bar. I spent some time reading reviews between this and the Champion Reactor Workout Bar and ultimately chose this one.First, I am very pleased with the condition of the product. Other reviewers have stated that the bar arrived damaged. My bar was wrapped in clear wrapper for the length of the bar. The end caps were protected with hard cardboard. The bar was packaged in a HUGE box with lots of protective wrapping inside. Please don't let the negative reviews steer you away from purchasing. I received mine in perfect condition.Second, the bar is made and protected really well. The foam surrounding the bar makes it easy to grip and keep a hold onto. The end caps are solid and sturdy. It is made solidly.Finally, the only critique I have regarding this product, is that it has a very large circumference. I am 5'3" with very small hands and the bar is very wide around. I purchased the 15-lb. bar and it's circumference is 5.75 inches. I am uncertain if the circumference of the larger weighted bars is higher, or if the lower weighted bars is lower.Overall, I really like this workout bar. I would recommend it based on quality and performance.

Bought for my Dad to workout since his paralysis, but he hasn't gotten up to using 15 lbs yet. I have been using it, and it's awesome! Perfect for a lot of exercises: squats, upright rows, curls, lunges...pretty much anything that you could use a free weight with. The black bar part has a soft foamy type material that is comfortable to the hands and easy to grip. The weight is evenly distributed across the bar so it is nice for nearly any exercise. I prop it in a corner for storage -easy and out of the way. The red parts are rubbery silicone type material so if you drop it or knock it about, any scuffing should be very minimal. I would highly recommend this weight bar for anyone, anytime - especially those that are looking for an alternative to the sometimes boring free weight.

These are Great! I was looking for a weighted bar so that we can do walking lunges and jump squats in my workout group, and these fit the bill. Being that the grip is padded it makes it more comfortable when it is resting on your shoulders, and for when doing the jump squats. We are able to do curls with these as well, which makes for a good whole body workout!! :)I did read read other reviews stating that the bar can tear easily, and I can see how that would be the case, but nothing sharp is coming in contact with them and after several group workouts over the past month they are still great!I expect these to last a long time!

I like this evenly weighted workout bar. It has a cushioned grip coating the full length of the bar--not too soft and not too hard. The rubber end caps protect the floor (and toes) if it gets dropped. The diameter is comfortable for adult womens' hands. Ten pounds is not too heavy for oldsters like me, and it works great for senior boot camp class. Easy to store when I'm not using it. Shipping was not a problem.....arrived in 2days with Amazon Prime.

This works great for what I needed it for: doing some basic upper body exercises and for balance during some leg exercises. It's a great weight and just long enough without being unwieldy (many bars I've seen in the past have been a bit too short). The bar is just the right circumference so that I don't end up scratching my hands with my own fingernails while exercising, and there's a nice, foamy covering on the length of the bar. The ends are nice and rubbery, and won't slide on the floor while using it for stability. I like that there's a range of weights, so I can purchase heaver ones as I become stronger/more fit.My one complaint is that after unpacking the box carefully (by tearing open the end of the box and sliding the bar out) there were 7 or 8 slash marks cutting through the foam to the bar underneath. It causes an inconsistent grip for my hands at times, and absorbs sweat more easily than the un-slashed foam, so I'm worried about it becoming gross.

The bar itself is quite good, and is exactly what I was looking for to continue my PT for my shoulder. My only complaint is my own stupidity for not noticing the 50" length, which is fairly long, which is of no fault of the product's as it clearly stated it, I just didn't visualize it very well… It's got a nice squeezy bar for a great grip, and the slightly squared end means I can stand it up against the wall without worrying about it rolling away.I know there were some reports of bars arriving damaged, but mine got here in perfect condition.

Really like it and wish there were heavier ones available / a little pricey but comfortable when adding a little weight on your back squats.

Love these weighted bars, I use them during my Powerskating sessions.
