Do not bother not worth it.
Did not fit properly when connecting the main socket to the motherboard, wires too long and not flexible. Waste of money.

To replace original - no problems fitting
The only issue seems to be with the charging time - much longer than the original fitment (using same charger). Not a huge problem. Have not cycled to full discharge so unable to assess lifetime between charges

Charging Up
Excellent replacement battery and tools for the Galaxy 10.1

Long life, to fit. ππππ
Easy to fit, (Google and view video on YouTube). Tools supplied are not the best of quality, found it easier to pop open the case with a Stanley knife blade. Connectors pull out horizontally but the battery connection pulls out vertically. Long battery life, very pleased.

Wouldn't charge up
I was hoping this would be ok, and initially it certainly appeared to be so. It came partly charged at 55%, so having removed the old battery and installing this one, it immediately came up on screen that it was charging. But then it started to alternate between charging and not charging. It would show as charging for a few seconds, then the charging screen icon disappeared, then the screen went black, then the charging icon would reappear showing it charging, again for a few seconds, before again disappearing and going back to a black screen. I left this 'charging' for over half an hour, and all it did was continuously cycle through the charging/not charging status. So I decided to switch the tablet on and it was again showing it was charging in the top right battery status bar, but then it was not charging again, then it was, then it wasn't. Basically, it was doing exactly the same as it was when switched off. My previous battery was completely dead, having gradually deteriorated over a few months, but this was at least allowing the tablet to switch on, but not charge the battery. I had already replaced the USB charging port, as I assumed that was why the original battery was not charging, but the new port didn't charge the new battery, but neither did the old port as I then tried that. So my old USB charging port was fine, as it was doing exactly the same thing as the new one. So this new battery was faulty, as it simply wouldn't charge, despite trying to. Disappointing as I wasted a few hours overall on this 'fix'.

Defective: does not charge or charges slowly
Does not charge, or charges at a very slow rate (~100mA) or not at all. Battery settings show "Not Charging", and the system bar shows red cross on battery level. My original battery, when reinstalled, has no problems like this and charges at a much higher rate (~1400mA).
