Nostalgia for sale
If you’re looking at this. You are probably an 80’s or 90’s child and had a boom box. I ordered this for someone else and he was out of his gourd with excitement. And then suddenly I was jealous...and am now seriously considering ordering one for myself. There’s a fancier version with a CD player. But let’s not kid ourselves. If you’re looking at this you want the cassette player so you can open it up after the first half is finished and flip that baby around and press play again! It is what it is. The Bluetooth works, the speakers are good not great. It’s a great gift and fun time. Well worth it.

Looks great, but don't buy if you're an audiophile.
I've seen a lot of reviews for this item that mention the subpar sound quality, and I agree it isn't the best but it's also not horrible. Volume-wise it is loud, but if you mainly listen to the mainstream sleek sounding music of today this is not the item for you! You will be very disappointed. If you like 80's music like me you will be more content. I give this item 5 stars for the aesthetics, which is the main reason I bought it.

Retro style modern convenience
I needed a radio with FM and Bluetooth but I didn't care for the flashy modern designs. This radio fir the bill. Light weight, good FM reception for the local drive in and good volume. May be a bit expensive for what it does but on par with other similar radios out these.

Felt like I needed to weigh in
Alot of these reviews are misleading. Either the people writing them don't know how to work bluetooth properly, or their delivery service was Ace Ventura, so the item was damaged. Anyway, here is an unbiased review 6 months in:Pros:1) Looks great.2) Never had a single issue with bluetooth connections or USB.3) The bluetooth sound is OK. Not bad, not amazing, just OK.4) Tape sound quality is solid.Cons:1) The cassette player door does not close all the way, so one of my tapes got eaten. Looks like you have to tape it shut (points for authenticity). To recap: Solid novelty boom box that has, so far, worked as advertised minus the tape eating.

Not very loud, none of the functions work reliably.
The media could not be loaded. This “boom box” has very little boom. It’s not loud enough! My Amazon echo speaker is louder than this. It also seems like there is a short in the electrical. I have to wiggle, flip, switch and jiggle the buttons for any function to work properly. For no reason at all, the radio won’t work. It literally cannot get a radio signal, which makes absolutely no sense. I live in the middle of Los Angeles, I shouldn’t even need an antenna to get a signal. This appliance, with antenna and all, still no reception. Nothing at all. Not even static. I’ve used this maybe 5 times in a year and a half, and only for one single cassette tape. Which is the only function that works reliably. I don’t have much use for a cassette player, I mostly wanted to is for Bluetooth capability…. But alas, it doesn’t work. Of course none of these issues showed up until AFTER THE return policy was over. Don’t buy this. It looks cool, but doesn’t work well. You’d think from a company like Victrola, you would be assured they know sound. Guess not.

Exactly what I was looking for!
My son, like many other kids who’ve never seen a cassette tape, saw the Awesome Mix from Guardians of the Galaxy and instantly wanted an “old school boom box, like you had, Mommy!” (Thanks for calling me old, kid.) I decided on this one for his birthday and I’m so glad I did because he absolutely loves it! He’d rather listen to music on this than his iPad so that’s a win in itself! If you’re looking for stereo quality sound, you’re not going to get it with this, just like you didn’t get it with the old school ones. It has that classic boom box sound, and I was surprised that it has real switches and dials, not digital stuff. I love it enough that I’m thinking of getting myself one...definitely a great buy for the money!

Poor overall quality
A broken cable tie was visible in the radio frequency panel. FM reception is very poor. The overall quality of the product is poor. Excellent sound quality.
