Ordering more for baby #2 :)
This bottle is GREAT!! Our son loves to throw his bottles about and though these are dented they are still in perfect working order 15 months after they went into use. He drinks his water from them now. I do not know how many plastic bottles he has broken but I regret not forking out the extra for more of these when I should have.I would heat my breast milk up in warm water while I left warm water in the bottle with the sleeve on. When I poured out the water and transfered the breast milk over the heat was kept well because of the rubber sleeve around the metal bottle. Side note: I have had the bottle successfully launched at me numerous times (very funny, William) and it hurts a hell of a lot less when you get hit with a bottle with the sleeve ON!Easy to clean and no scratches on the inside to harbour anything unwanted.I used Lansinoh breast milk storage bags to store the milk I'd pumped. The bags are clear and marked so it is easy to see how much milk you have in the bag, because of this I didn't need a bottle with a measurement strip. Saying that, William has always been a big eater and I fed on demand so I have no idea how much I was feeding him I just fed him till he was full.My son was fed breast milk exclusively until he was 7 1/2 months old. He was mostly nursed, the bottle was only for others to use with him. I weened him completely a week before he turned 1. We started using the bottle when he was around 4 months old so he could be left with a sitter or his dad and I could get some time alone. We didn't experienced problems with the fit of the bottle pieces or any leaking. The flow was never too great for him to handle but every child is different and this is no exception.I would highly recommend this bottle and frequently do!

Leaks
Really wanted to like this product and tried to work with it for several weeks before giving up and returning. It's hard to screw on and know if it's really on or not. Leaked several times and what a waste of breast milk! Also, the outer rubber part comes on/off for cleaning (I think) but it's pretty difficult to get on and off and if you don't then water seems to build up inbetween. This bottle also doesn't have ounce/ml markers on the inside (does on the outside) so hard to tell how much you're putting or or how much baby has eaten. Loved the idea of stainless steel so am now trying Pura brand bottles, see if those work better and if not I give up!

Many Design Flaws
So like most unsatisfied reviewers I wanted to love this product. Stainless steel was much needed at the point that my daughter started throwing her glass bottles on the ground when she was done. Problem 1) and our biggest issue. The nipple can very easily be pushed down into the bottle which then it basically becomes a cup and the milk spills EVERYWHERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, usually all over babies face. Literally will push in when baby is drinking it. If she is in the crib she may be swimming by the time you get back. basically this flaw renders this product useless to us and we just don't use them anymore (we have two). For the price this should not be happening. The second issue is that the nipples start to smell funky after a bit and NOTHING will remove that smell. Oh and i guess there is a third issue, with the hourglass shape the base is smaller so they topple over easily. NOT RECOMMENDED.

Good bottle, bad nipple, easy fix.
My 3 month old started trying/occasionally succeeding to hold his bottle and I started to get nervous about the glass I was using so I grabbed these as a plastic alternative. As other have said we had nipple issues - our baby hated it and screamed - but otherwise it was perfect. Not plastic, no leaching, easy to hold, non breakable, and our baby prefers the pumped breastmilk cold and this keeps it cold really well. My simple fix was to use the nipples that came with my spectra bottles and they fit perfectly and as soon as I switched my son loved the bottle. This had the added benefit of stopping my husband from using my pump bottles as feeding bottles which was driving me crazy! My kiddo basically always drains a bottle so I was not so concerned about being able to see the exact ounces but if you are you can always drop whatever is left into the cap real quickly to see what they drank.

Great bottle!
Great bottle!! But bad nipple!!! I replaced it with lansinoh moma nipple. A bit of a work to get the moma nipple in, though.Easy to warm contents, don't have to worry after leaving it in my stainless steel DIY sterilizer about melting. We also ditched the sleeve. The original nipple was fast flowing n collapsed but still wanted to try as the company had a great customer service( bought their water bottle two years back for my school goer and had to contact them about the lid).I will recommend it but with another nipple.

Worst. Bottle. Ever.
I was so excited to order this bottle for my first baby and ditch the plastic. However, the very first time we used it, the nipple caved in, dumping milk all over his face and chest. I thought it must have been my fault, so I triple checked the nipple to be sure it was inserted correctly, and tried again. Two more times, it did the exact same thing. My poor baby was hungry, frustrated and covered in milk! I finally tossed the bottle in the trash and moved on to the Pura Kiki, which is the best bottle ever. We're now on baby #3 and still using and loving our Puras!

Why doesn't the nipple stay on!
Bought a couple of these safe starters for my 2 year old hoping to use them for his sister when she arrives if they worked out.pros: Easy to heat with hot tap water, stays cool with cold water. Rubber grip easily rolls off and on for cleaning. Looks rad. Unbreakable.Cons: Nipple can be pressed into the bottle easily allowing the contents to pour out. My son dropped the bottle 5 minutes ago (which is why I am here now) and the bottle landed nipple down. The entire nipple was knocked into the bottle and all the milk was on the floor a moment later. This has happened several times while he was simply drinking as well.My son uses the water bottle and we all love it. However the safe starters have to go. I have no use for a mess.
