Bought this as a birthday gift for my 20 year-olds daughter. As a little girl she spent hours and hours watching g "The Little Mermaid" and when she opened the package she was thrilled!! The yarn is soft , the mermaid tail was big enough for her 5'10" frame. She loves it! Recommend for any mermaid you know.

I purchased two of these (one in dark pink and one in dark blue) as Christmas gifts for my two adult sisters. First I ordered them on my phone as part of lightning deal on Black Friday. I didn't realize until I received them that the dark pink and dark blue aren't just dark pink and dark blue. The pink has purple streaks, and the blue has a rainbow of colors with blue being the dominant color of course. It's really pretty, especially the scale details.Now what I didn't like. Both arrived vacuum sealed and one was already cut open. The fin is pretty small and doesn't really want to be spread out. When I tried, it would start to curl back in on itself. While there is good height (I'm 5'7 and it came to my armpits), it's also quite narrow. It covered me with an inch or two to tuck under on each side, but I'm a US size 4. For larger women this is clearly a problem.So if this was wider with a larger fin, this would be perfect.

I was on the hunt for what seemed like eternity for two mermaid blankets for my nieces. I even had ordered a set before these which were returned immediately and I almost gave up on the mermaid blanket hunt. One is 4 and the other is 9. I purchase this kid blue mermaid for the 4 year old and the adult purple for the 9 year old. Darn it, these are perfect! I am incredibly excited for them to open them up on Christmas! Material seems durable, didn't seem like it would easily snag, holes through the tail so they can attempt to walk around if they would like (could be interesting..), and best of all, the kid and adult blankets are exactly the same except size and color! So no risk of one sister like the other one more and such non-sense. Unless they've changed their favorite colors.......

I don't think the seller understands what adult size means. The blanket is a pretty color and the fish scale pattern is cute. I bought this blanket for my 12 year old niece for Christmas. She's not a large child and I choose adult size so she'll be able to use it for a while. Yeah, not. This adult size blanket is barely large enough to cover a small 5 year old. Disappointed. I'm still going to give it to her in hopes with use it will stretch a bit.

Item is not as pictured, the pictures do not indicate that this blanket is not enclosed like a sleeping bag. There is actually an opening that goes 3/4 of the way down the entire blanket which makes it almost impossible to wrap up in and stay wrapped up in. The mermaid tail is also not stitched shut, completely open which seems pointless if you want to keep your feet warm. The entire thing is way too narrow for my average size 7 year old to even use. Extremely disappointed in this product, the only positive I have is that the fabric and detail were beautiful but it is non-functioning the way it came. Description and pictures are very misleading in my opinion. Have already started the return process for this item.

I bought the 56x 28 in purple for a 6 year old girls bday present. She loved it.The yarn is pretty loosely knit so it has potential to be snagged easily.You have to slip into this like a sleeping bag and it is sewn like a tube so your feet can go through a hole where the fin is. The back is slitted open some around the waist.I included some pictures to show the thickness of fabric, close up of color and how it fit on my 6 year old.It came with a cloth bag that I really have no use for.

These bad boys are every woman, girl, boy, man's dream if they ever watched Disney movies like Little Mermaid (1,2, and 3) or grew up on Hans Christian Anderson's more sordid (original) version of the TAIL (see what I did there?)I got this as a gift for my sister for Christmas after seeing the type of mermaid blankets all over instagram and many hints from her about wanting one.Glad I chose this one! Came with scale detailing with polychromatic thread adding depth and character to it that you don't see from the other ones.Just as seen in the photos and customer images.10/10 would buy again for any other person in the fam. (gender inclusive -little dudes in the fam who saw my sis wearing hers wanted blue ones and little dudettes wanted pink and green ones). Didn't know the little ones would be so into it, but I learned something on Christmas just like they learned Santa wasn't real.

Well it is a mermaid blanket of some sort but was not what I expected. There is a hole at the foot end so your feet hang out. The top has a V shaped opening so it doesn't completely cover your waist on one half of it. It isn't warm whatsoever because its very spaced out crochet. I don't recommend.
