Red office chair with flip up arms
Excellent quality and a beautiful shade of red. Very good value for money. Comfortable to sit at my crafting desk for longer periods of time. Height adjustable is perfect for me, I have this at a lower height because of my desk but it does come up higher if required.

Great long-term chair
I've probably used this chair daily for a good 7-8 months, and it's great. Have no problems with it. Posture feels supported, can sit comfortably for hours on end without any issue whatsoever.I only had to buy new covers for the armrests because they are a bit itchy if your forearms rest on it but they were a very cheap £2 to buy, so not a major issue, but definitely do consider purchasing some.

Yes I was one of those who hung on thinking that a dining chair would do the job....
After a period of exacerbating an old back injury by making do with a dining room chair, I buckled and started an online search for a better solution to work from home under C19. Naturally i researched the various sites for advice - and then understood that the entire working population had already bought any chair below £150 available for delivery. Interestingly another site had stock but wouldn't deliver (scandie furniture outlet). Finally I looked here on Amazon for a solution; whilst only something called a carver chair had been flagged on another site, I wanted something with a little more support to the lower back. And Office Hippo are a brand used commercially. So this was it.It took 20 minutes to assemble on my own in the kitchen - admittedly it needed to rest on the work surface to complete but the instructions were easy to follow. Job done. There were even some spare bits for insurance..So far it seems to a good, comfortable, robust solution to the WFH challenge: admittedly it's a "value" option, but the hilariously priced ergonomic chairs out there weren't what I was after. We'll see how it lasts noting my previous comment. Time will tell but I'm pleased with this. Well done Amazon - delivered in a couple of days too.

Cost effective comfort
Assembly straightforward with tools supplied. Just one screw didn't want to play but a bit of brute force convinced it otherwise.Very smart looking chair with comfortable large seat and supportive mesh back. Fits the curve of my back perfectly. The lift up arms are genius, the chair can be then stored out of the way under the desk and arms simply dropped down for use.Value for money chair.

Not what it says on the label!
The chair is okay but it’s not a hippo chair that I ordered? The back of the chair is too far back to give you much support while working at your desk? You need to sit right back to feel the support and that’s not possible while working on your desk! When it said tilt control I presumed it meant the back but it doesn’t? You still need a cushion for any back support! A lot of money when you’re a) not getting the make of chair you order and b) doesn’t support your back, the reason I bought it! If I hadn’t put it together and thrown the box, I would have sent it back! Beware!

More comfortable than it looks
There are modern office chairs, and there are modern office chairs. Having spent my life sitting on traditional 'operator' chairs (mostly from Wallis (now defunct) and good quality) I was rather sceptical about buying a Frankenstein looking bum perch, but worry not. This one is easy to put together (despite what some reviews have said) and is remarkably comfortable. The Office Hippo Mesh chair is not the cheapest, but having seen what nasty stuff some of the guys in our office got for £90, it's definitely a case of you get what you pay for.If you are a traditionalist then the old style chairs are still more padded and comfortable even if not ergonomically designed, but if you want to take a step into the modern world then you can do a lot worse than this. Enjoy!

Cheap and comfortable chair. Highly recommend.
This chair was reasonably easy to assemble upon arrival. It took me about an hour. I do think the instructions left a bit to be desired but I was able to make reasonable inferences to finish building the chair. For as cheap as this chair is, in comparison to more high-end chairs, I can say thay I'm satisfied in terms of comfort. I'm relatively tall, 6 foot 2 and have long legs so required a chair that could accommodate this. I tested out a stool and a gaming chair before arriving at this one. This chair is far more comfortable than the previous ones I tried. I have been using it for 2 months now and have had no problems.I would definitely recommend this chair as a cheap chair that is still comfortable.

Great chair
I, like most of you that had written reviews, had been working from home since lockdown on the most uncomfortable dining room chair. When it became clear we would be working from home for the foreseeable future I knew I had to invest in a decent chair, but there was not a lot of choice in my price bracket! I liked the look of this chair and I read the reviews which were mostly ok. I love the chair, I find it comfortable both with the arms up and down (i wanted arms that you could put up as I’m working in a small place and like to tuck the chair under my desk when I’m not working). I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone looking for a bit of comfort while you work!
