My daughters have had this castle for a few years now. They never get tired of playing with it. Yes some of the fencing comes off but only if knocked or you try to move it holding onto those parts (it then just clips back on). I have been really impressed with the durability and quality of playmobil, this castle has turned me into a playmobil fan. All playmobil is expensive but it lasts !

How many fiddly bits????
Bought this for my daughters 4th birthday. It took her Dad well over an hour to put together and yet bits come apart whenever she plays with it. It is a fairly large castle and you can buy extra bits (which themselves are fairly expensive) to attach to it to make it bigger but the play is limited as it is such on odd shape. There is a secret hiding place in the roof but other than that it is very open plan. She loves having her own castle and princesses but I feel that for the money I could have got something much better.

All you need to play Princess
My 4.5year old daughter got this for Christmas and only stops playing when she has to eat or sleep.It takes a long time to set up, we parents spent around 3 hours and I must admit some of the small items like the flowers are a nightmare. We will have to glue them together to stop disappearing totally.It comes with one couple and a dinning set. You can buy more furniture but I don't feel the need as the inside is fairly small and you wouldn't be able to play properly if every room is cluttered. Some more figures would be nice. We have some other items from her pirate collection which moved in. She is now staging battles.I prefer this to the knight's castle as it is more open plan and easier to play with.

Palace fun
My 2 eldest daughters have had this for 2 years now and have played with this a lot. Although side fences and turrets sometimes get knocked off they clip in easily again and nothing has broken even with toddlers in the house! There are other sets available too which together make this even more fun.
