My dentist started me on PLAX over 25 years ago. I have always had problems with plaque. Even when I had my own teeth. That was part of my problem. You use it before you brush. Then you brush and it cleans the plaque away. Besides the red tastes good. The last ten years or so I have had to purchase PLAX up north as they don't carry it in the Dallas area any longer. Then I discovered I could order it on the internet. I would recommend it to anyone that has problems with plaque just as my dentist did to me. Now I have implants both upper and lower and when I go to have them cleaned the dentist assistant is amazed at how clean my implants are. How little plaque there is. I am happy, too!

OK-Nothing great
I believe the product works as advertised. I have noticed no more thick syliva in my mouth, which I believe was caused by excess plaq.I will continue to use this product.

Great dental checkup after using Plax.
After being told my gums were receding, I decided on a multi-step program to preserve my teeth and gums: 1)Use Plax as a pre-brushing rinse. 2)Brush. 3)Floss as desired. 4)Use ACT fluoride post-brushing rinse. At my last dental checkup, my dentist gave my gums an excellent rating!BTW, with respect to a posted review of a dental clinical trial where the authors did not find that using Plax made a difference, with only 19 dental students, and only two brief tests, I am not surprised that the study did not show significant results. I'd like to see a repeat trial with a much larger sample size and a longer period of real-life use. (As a sample of one, I am happy with my results).I like the cinnamon flavor of the original Plax, and the strength is just right. I find mint flavored rinses by other companies, such as Biotene, to be too strong.
