Long life in this trimmer.
Great trimmer! I bought one Oct 2020 and have been using it since. Battery/trimmers still work well. I just ordered a new one because the blades on the trimmer are now getting dull after 4.5 years of use. Highly recommend.

I'm no barber, but . . .
Great assortment of items contained in this order. It's a do-it-yourself kit for grooming ear to ear, and nose to chin! Strong power, light weight, and good value for the money.

Overall not bad but doesn't cut close enough
I replaced a broken 15 year old Wahl trimmer as it died for the last time. I like the quality of Wahl products and so purchased this as it seemed the closest to what I wanted. Many attachments, and way more than I'll ever use. It seems that it wants to be more than a trimmer and it fails as an overall clipper. Very budget oriented packaging which is fine with me. Pretty eco friendly. For me, this is a loser as a trimmer. I don't shave but 2-3 times a year. My old trimmer kept a 1 day stubble look well, but would 'nip' my neck occasionally. This does not cut with the same efficiency as the old one and not as close. More like 3 day stubble. With the trimmer attachments it doesn't cut as efficiently as my old one either. It was quick and easy to get my trimming done. This doesn't cut as 'aggressively' when trimming and takes 2-3 times as long to get the same work done. The transition from 1 day stubble to trimmed goatee, now looks more sloppy and shall we say I have 'blurred lines'. Less distinction between goatee and 'shaved' face. The nose trimmer works well. I used one 50 years ago and it pulled hair out. This does a nice 'clip job'. Not sure I'll continue using it as a pair of scissors has worked since I started to shave.Overall it's ok. But, not a hit with me.

LOUD but great value overall.
The product physically works well and it’s a great value, but the quality of the metals and plastics is very poor. Also this thing is LOUD, and very uncomfortable to use near your ears as a beard trimmer. Using it in a glass square shower is insufferable due to noise levels. I have to return it to buy a Phillips Norelco, like I’ve used for the last decade. My PN isn’t even broken, it’s just old and I’d like to buy a new trimmer before it gives out.

Last 5 years!
This trimmer lasted me just shy of 5 years until it died and was unchargeable. Honestly, for the price I'm pretty happy with it even though I'm having to replace it with a new one. 5 years is a long time for having to deal with what it was dealing with. Five stars.

A cheaper version of the Wahl trimmer I formerly used; it's adequate
I've been very satisfied with the more expensive and stainless steel version of this trimmer that I've used for a few years now, until the plastic button on the unit disintegrated suddenly one day. Plastic will do that, I have discovered over the years: it is fine until suddenly it reaches an age where its structural integrity is suddenly lost and it literally crumbles to pieces. I've seen it happen with an old set of ski boots that crumbled to pieces when pulled out for the first time in a few years (that was something to behold!) I've experienced it with a pair of running shoes that I kept in the closet too long, the soles literally turning to powder as I took my first steps. I'm familiar with this phenomenon, but it always makes me a little angry when it happens. Especially when the rest of whatever the plastic thing is attached to is perfectly fine. Anyway, the old Wahl has a plastic switch and it crumbled.Faced with spending twenty vs eighty dollars to replace the old one, I went with this version as a trial. It's fine so far. The cutting head is narrower and the attachments from the other one don't fit this one, but it came with its own, so no big deal. I don't like the lightweight, cheap feel of it, but for a quarter to a third the price, I can live with it. The technical stats say the battery on this one loses its charge quicker, but I haven't noticed that yet. I still like the stainless steel version better. Thus the rating.
