Domain-Driven Design Reference: Definitions and Pattern Summaries Paperback – September 22, 2014

This is an excellent companion to THE book (Domain-Driven Design: Tackling Complexity in the Heart of Software). The other book is very dense and takes a fair bit of effort to understand all the underlying ideas and how to translate them to implementation. This reference book is a clear summary to make sure that the entire team uses the same language for the process. Using the same terminology is critical for the success of any project, and this book can be used as a baseline for developers and customers as they work through the actual domain design process together to understand the business problem at hand. It's an easy read that stays out of any technical implementation details.

Every developer should read the Eric Evans classic on Domain Driven Design. The this companoin is great to have deskside.

I got this for free at a workshop with Eric Evans. There's nothing here that isn't in his main book, but it's a great, handy reference when looking up an idea. Most importantly, and why I gave it 5 stars, is that it's a fantastic way to get someone to read about DDD, folks that are important to the DDD process that would read an overview, but wouldn't read the full DDD tome.

I was hoping for much more in this book. It is only a few pages long with very sparse content.

Domain-Driven Design Reference ist genau das was es behauptet zu sein eine kurze und sehr kompakte Referenz zu DDD mit kleinen Aktualisierungen. Wen man mit DDD vertraut ist, ist diese Referenz im Alltäglichen gebrauch wirklich wertvoll. Sie ist allerdings so kompakt, daß man jeden Satz sofort 2 mal lesen sollte um ihn in seiner gänze wirklich zu erfassen. Sehr empfehlenswert ist es das Hauptwerk von Evans "Domain-Driven Design" auch gelesen zu haben.Man wünscht sich die Referenz eigentlich nur noch auf Karten, damit man sie an die Wand pinnen kann.

Very nice summary of ddd patterns you can keep near you while working. I use it sometimes when I need to discuss design with my coworkers, or even when I design alone.The content is not really deep though, I think the price could have been lower than the 20$ I paid.I think I could have managed just by having Evans real book on than matter.

A pesar de que el propio libro ya dice que es un referencia, creo que no tiene mucho sentido. Con la informacion que da no considero que justifique su precio.

Ho comprato questo libro perche' gia' in possesso di quello azzurro e di quello rosso. E' solo un libricino di riferimento. Bello. Sintetico. Ma non vale il denaro che costa. E' il riassunto dei libri precedenti. Se ci si aspetta questo, il prodotto e' ottimo. Non lo consiglierei se ci si aspetta di trovare contenuti aggiuntivi di spessore e novita' di rilievo nel DDD.

Das buch ist zu abstrakt und hilft nicht wirklich. Ob du Experte oder Anfänger bist dann würdest du das Buch nicht brauchen. Das Internet hilft viel mehr weiter!
