Q: Is the bow strings(horse hair) supposed to touch the wooden part? I am new to this but all pictures I see there is space between. Warped wood?

There is a knob to turn at the end of the bow for you to tighten the bow. When you store your bow, you need to relax the tension on the “hairs”. YouTube has tons of videos showing you how to care for your bow. Hope this helps!

Q: Can you use this bow to play on metal springs? (Experimental music instrument)

Yes but if your going use it on a guitar they will shred fast if you don't resin them up alot. Buy cello bow
