The price is good, the swing plate moves quite freely, and there is no spring assist. Only gravity and back pressure will close this valve. Most importantly - there is no PTFE seal as-advertised. Expect some leakback. I'm using this to control thermosiphon, and for this application this unit should be OK. If you really need to stop all backflow, you should look for another unit.

This is a well made superior product. I’m a retired NYC licensed master plumber and can truly appreciate something that’s made well. It worked perfectly with the home project I was working on.

Listing says the valve contains PTFE seal, but there is no seal. Flapper is metal-on-metal, and it leaks. One-star rating is based on my wasted time dealing with a product that does not match description. Seller needs to correct the description.
