Just as it looks, can be a shawl or long scarf. Although the description is lightweight, the amount of fabric gives it a nice heft, it is not at all flimsy. The black is 'black' (some blacks are on the grayer side but this is a true black). Not as soft as I'd like it to be for silk, (hence 4 stars not 5) but I'm thinking it will soften in time. Quality construction/stitching. Right now I'm wearing it around my neck under my coat because it's getting cold and breezy in New England. But not yet cold enough for a heavy scarf. Perfect for under a light weight jacket or raincoat. I use it primarily with my coat, but today I put it around my shoulders at work because there was a bit of a draft. Great for the price, just wish it was a little softer

This is a GREAT scarf. I feel like i got what i paid for. Im no fabric expert but it feels real. It’s slightly heavier and more smooth than i expected. Absolutely perfect length for hair wraps

I feel for those who received a polyester product. Happily, I received silk. The color is gorgeous! Pink is hard to shop for online since it can lean toward peach and I prefer cool toned pinks. There are weave imperfections, but for the price and color, I don’t mind. The first photo shows all my silks in different colors. There is one polyester “silk”. Can you find it? If you’re thinking …that orange seems like it’s trying too hard for a sheen, then you’ve found it! Its sheen is too shiny for silk, it’s too heavy, and isnt as delicate. It lacks class. Hopefully this helps you see the difference. The biggest difference is the feel. Silk should make you unbelievably delighted. It’s exstacy for your skin. When you feel silk, you want to strip down and bathe in its luxury. Silk is light weight, delicate, smooth, and very soft. Polyester cannot match it, though it tries.

I just got my third one! With black, white, and cream, I can complete any outfit. The scarves are silky soft around my neck and are surprisingly warm. The fabric weight is perfect to tie around my neck or head, use as a shoulder wrap, or wrap around my waist for a swimsuit coverup. I keep one tied in the hang-up loop of my winter coat and can just let it hang over my shoulders without worry of losing it. The scarves fold up small enough to fit in a pocket, purse, or backpack and travel well. Silk is perfect for cold winter days and great for summer air conditioned spaces. I have many scarves, but these have become my year round favorites.

Flammable! The static electricity in it is through the roof. I wouldn’t even need to run the flame test to be able to tell that It is certainly not real silk - just as one of the reviews has stated. My hair instantly stood 90° up. Absolutely conceivable for silk. The only pretty component is that the blue is very nice. It is deep, navy blue, a rare one to find. So if you don’t mind to have the crackling noise on your head and this fabric affecting the rest of your clothing, you should be fine… otherwise beware!

Sehr schöner Seidenschal in knalligem Rot. Ein echter Hingucker. Die Seide fühlt sich sehr angenehm und weich an. Die zarte Textur trägt nicht auf und kann somit um den Hals gewickelt, als Stola oder wie ein Schal getragen werden. Die oppulente Größe ermöglicht einige Tragevarianten. Für mich ein gelungener Kauf.
