One word...AMAZING! I have three French bulldogs who eat fast! I’ve tried every slow bowl feeder imaginable, but it’s hard with flat nosed breeds. I have been feeding my dogs on trays and spreading out their food and then I came across this! It’s not a bowl, it’s a tray with a side lip with circular indentions and it works perfectly! It’s sturdy and easy to hand, but most of all... my dogs eat slower...much slower. My dogs eat raw or cooked food and I make sure I spread their food all over this tray and it’s been wonderful. I highly recommend!!!

I couldn't find anything for cats that was shallow and large enough as a slow feeder, until came across this (even though marketed for dogs). The individual boxes are super shallow and perfect for even a flatter nosed cat or dog, and large enough where 2-3 cats or small pups could use at the same time. I am using this for my cats to eat their wet food on occasionally. Keeps them busy and I will put different flavors of their food randomly around the tray. It is very large (since meant for a dog), so 3 of my cats all lick at it at once with room for everyone. I also used it for when my one kitty got home from the vet from a stomach bug and had to make sure she ate very slowly. This worked like a charm. Super easy to clean and very durable product.

One of our cats is a VERY ravenous eater. We tried a different type of slow-feed bowl (it has raised pieces in the bowl itself), but he eventually grew tired of it. With this bowl, he still takes longer than normal to eat, but does not get frustrated trying to get his food.The pockets are relatively small, so this works best for animals who have small kibble food. Large kibble would simply pile up and the purpose of the dish is defeated.Because there are no harsh creases on the feeding side of the bowl, it is very easy to clean. I used an extra toothbrush I got from the dentist to clean ours. (Note: I heated the neck of the brush up to bend the head at a 90º angle; cleaning is much easier this way.)I gave the "durability" rating four stars because there was a rubber foot missing upon delivery. It's not that big of a deal since it's a cat bowl. However, it is off balance and now rattles whenever he goes from side to side to get his food. It's not loud enough to be annoying since all the rest of our pets are all eating at the same time.In summary, this is a solid product that I recommend to those who need their (smaller) animals to slow down a bit when they eat.

Bought for my cats, and it is exactly as I expected. Its easy to fill/spread out food and has absolutely helped to slow down eating, and eliminated most of our eating too fast and vomiting issues!! (Yay) cats even eat a little less because its more work now. Just wish they had a cute cat friendly fish shape or something.

I have a pup that's a little over a year old and he could finish a meal in 90 seconds. This slows him down to 3-5 minutes. I've noticed that he's not begging for more right away, has less gas/burps, and has stopped throwing up shortly after eating. Just note, this thing is huge. I can see why, but Wow! I was not expecting the size. lol

Bought several for use at our local shelter - we fill them individual diamonds with a variety of food items like yogurt, peanut butter, wet & dry food, cheese - the dogs enjoy the different tastes & textures - keeps them busy for 20 to 30 minutes in their kennels - study for normal chewers - we monitor heavy duty chewers & remove tray as soon as they are done

I purchased this for my food obsessed cat. I’ve tried other slow feeders that weren’t compatible for a cat because they were too deep. This one is shallow enough for him to get at the food although I can hear his teeth scraping on the dish at times. I use a spachula to kind of spread & push the food into the divets. If you just put the food on top, it negates the purpose of the slow feed. It used to take my fur baby 90 seconds to ear his meal. With this feeder it takes a full 5 minutes for him to finish!

This feeder is a foot long, which I did not quite register when ordering it. For the space where my dog eats, it is large. As a product, however, it is what it says it is: a plastic slow feeder toy.Like many of these types of products, this one does not remarkably slow my dog down, and I'm curious about the reviews that suggests it takes their dog 20 or 30 minutes to eat off of this. My dog is not that fast of an eater, and she still ate 1.5 cups of food off this feeder in about 5 minutes. So--I would say, do not expect your life to change. She does like eating off it though.
