Product Description Postcards From London tells the story of beautiful teenager Jim (Harris Dickinson of Beach Rats, The Darkest Minds), who finds himself in Soho where he falls in with The Raconteurs - a gang of unusual high class male escorts who specialize in post-coital conversation. From shy novice to sought after escort and eventually artist's muse, Jim would be the toast of the town if it wasn't for his annoying affliction. He suffers from Stendhal Syndrome, a rare condition which causes him to hallucinate and faint when he encounters real works of art. But when Jim is roped into the world of detecting art forgery, could his condition bring about his downfall? Review Colorful...fantasia of high art and bare skin. --VarietyDreamy! Visually fanciful, playful and ultimately optimistic, Postcards is an unconventional coming-of-age story. --Film School RejectsA marvelous performance that is at once innocent and knowing. --SF Bay Times

Definitely not for everyone
1. Do not expect a "slice of realism". It's very stylized.2. Can be hard to figure out what's going on at times, but let go and experience what is given you.3. You've fallen down the rabbit hole and you're no longer in Kansas, Toto...just enjoy Oz (yes, I know it's a mixture of metaphors).4. Very much like "Querelle" by Rainer Werner Fassbinder

Freaky but good
it is a bit like Ferris Buler's Day Off, in that it's a boy's adventure adding what goes on in his head. A few unanswered questions like what he ends up doing with the Boxes, only God knows. Otherwise the movie is quite fun and quirky. Very well filmed and directed.

This movie is pretty to watch but other than that
This movie is very pretty to watch and has a lot of eye candy. Other than that it can be hard to follow and has a lack luster ending.

Unique film
If you are looking for a love story with an occasional hot sex scene, this is not it. While homosexuality is prominent in the film, it is not exactly a gay movie either. Harris Dickerson is incredibly beautiful to look at, which is a huge plus, but the actual storyline is interesting and different.

Bright but not captivating
Gotta be honest Harris(Beach Rats) Dickinson was the draw for me here. He is such a good actor and the camera and eyes love him. However this movie couldn't do it for me. Bright, flashy neon filled but I found myself longing for more. It had more style than substance while it had LGBT storyline throughout it couldn't hold me attention wise.

Much more than a gay movie
It was a very interesting presentation with interesting story-line as well as lighting. I would watch it again

Aside from Harris Dickenson ...nothing interesting
A few art buffs may find this movie interesting, otherwise be prepared to be bored, scratching your head as to why this was ever made.A shirtless Harris Dickenson (from Beach Rats) is wasted on this pretentious artsy dribble. No interesting plot to speak of, acting is just passable, and even watching the eye-candy is not enjoyable (painful at times) in this ridiculous and boring setting! If you are looking for a possible lesson in art history, then maybe this is for you. But if want a meaningful, emotional and realistic gay-themed movie ...STAY AWAY from this!

Good but limited in scope.
I like the idea of this so much that I wished it was more of a large scale production rather than the equivalent of a stage-play adapted for film. There was so much more potential of narrative, and depth, that it deserved a broader scope. It did challenge some admittedly cynical, preconceived ideas I’ve held about the possibilities of “authentic art” after post-post modernism.

Ignor the cover, watch the film
So..whoever wrote the blurb on the cover, possibly had not watched this film, or [now i am being kind] they only watched 5 mins of it..Forget the sailor suits , forget the tattoos ..Watch this film, it is cleverly made, a great use of 'box set' as in scenery [not box set film]..Saint Sebastien has never been funnier.. Think the 1967 film 'Smashing Time' coming to London to make something, the big time or just life experience, Move it on a few decades. Just as daft..set it in Soho..give it a Gay theme..The cover description makes it sound like a porn movie, This is most definitely NOT a porno flick..It has humour and a degree of grace about it, a poignancy in the relationships and the recreated paintings, the Characters are likable ,,I watched it twice.

Enjoyable film.
Quite a nice film but not the best I've ever seen. Thought it a bit lame to be honest. Some cute moments though...
