Idirectmart Square Sun Shade Sail 18 Feet - Sand Color

Good stuff for the price. No perimeter cable or anything fancy, but so far so good. You cannot fly these flat or the middle will sag, trap water, and look awful; the way is to have two diagonal anchor points high and the other two diagonals low, giving you some shape, rigidity, and form. I'll post back with durability results, but so far it's held up to some stout winds with much motion, but no problems. I used 1/8" cable and turnbuckles on three corners to fly mine. I'm happy with the shade created; it's extended my workspace outside the garage so that I can work comfortably in what used to be blazing sunlight.EDIT TO ADD: After a season, the spring winds came, and destroyed my shade sail. To be fair, a gigantic gust of wind hit so hard that it threw gravel up on the roof! This was enough to rip the shade sail. It was also enough to snap off the 4x4 post to which the sail was anchored, so it was a pretty stout gust. I'm going to sew it up and hang it up again. Just saw that the price has dropped since I bought my first one; I do believe I'll buy another smaller one, as well.

Purchased a Coolaroo 16.5' triangle shade sail with hardware kit during the summer for relief from the sun. Price was over $100, with hardware. This worked so well that I wanted another shade sail and found an 18' x 18' square shade sail supplied by Indirectmart for less than $50 (no hardware). Right out of the box I could tell that the Indirectmart product was inferior to the Coolaroo shade sail. Much lighter material. Not as strongly reinforced at the corners or edges. Even the weave of the material appears less durable. Also, measurement out of the box is less than 16' x 16' square. Even if it stretches at the corners, it is doubtful whether it will ever achieve a uniform 18' x 18' coverage.So the Indirectmart (no hardware) shade sail is twice the coverage, at half the price of Coolaroo (with hardware), but overall, is of inferior quality. If quantity and affordability are important, Indirectmart is a better choice. If construction quality and installation hardware are important, expect to pay a higher price, and purchase from Coolaroo.

bought this awhile back in the summer of 2013...returned it cause i thought it was going to be water proof and wasnt....indirect martket said they would take it back and refund my account and so i sent it back and paid the shipping myself which was almost half the cost of the sun shade...tryed contacting indirect market on several occasions through emails...no response...no refund....so if you buy this from them and dont like it i suggest you either keep it anyway or sell it to someone else because you wont get your money or shipping cost back...and after i got to reading other customers reviews i see where there was also another case like mine where the customer sent the product back in good faith expecting a refund and didnt get it...amazon made it good for me....no thanks to indirect market....

This was an awesome purchase to use over our pool that has no shade. We installed large posts and hung it taunt over the middle of the pool, it not only provides much needed shade but cools the water. We used hooks that make it an easy up easy down in case a storm blows through but have not had any problems with it at all.

I used this only a few months of the year so it doesn't get much use, but as it shade it works fine. I had to insert grommets into it to use the shade, which worked fine but it was clear the the workmanship of the shade is just so-so. I would buy again, though.

Not what I was expecting. Rather than square, like it says, it curves in towards the middle and out at the corners. You can't really put them edge to edge and expect them to cover.

great cover for my granddaughter, she was able to use the pool and only get a suntan, she was delighted

i love this product i haqve had it up all summer and it hasnt ripped or torn. when its windy it wont make noise like a tarp does,. when it rains it doesnt hold all the water and the price!!!!!! is great
