Puma SGB Elk Hunter POM Commando Stag Hunting Knife with Leather Sheath

Bought this Elk Hunter knife to replace another with a small handle that's slippery when cleaning game. This knife has a perfect size handle for my medium size hands with a good grip and nice brass finger guard. The blade came sharp, but I gave it a few passes on my Arkansas wet stone and its now shaving sharp. It has really good balance and with a full tang construction is sturdy and the whole thing is tight. I like the synthetic POM handle material because it won't fade, shrink, crack, swell, or absorb bodily fluids that could cause bacteria and the whole knife is easy to wash clean.

Puma has always been known for great steel in their knives, and this one is no exception. This elk Hunter has a great weight to it and is out together well for the price. Handles and good and tight with a great fiting. No rough spots on my hand. I have a XXL hand and it fits well and easy to index.Disappointed in the sheath, it is good leather, but appears to be made for a different style knife.Overall I would but it again. I have carried and used a knife my whole life for what it is worth.
