I had gotten something similar to this a few years back for a friend who was an avid traveler. It allowed you to "scratch off" the countries/states you've visited and it'd be cool to frame and use as a decorative piece for your house. The quality for this map is even better than the one I had gotten before! The material is a thick glossy piece of paper and the countries are printed nicely and distinct, everything is super clear. It even comes with a tool kit so that you can scratch off the areas really precise and neatly. This is the perfect gift or someone that likes to travel. The item is shipped in a thick canister so that the map is protected from any damage during shipping. It's easy to unravel and lay out to flatten back out so it's ready for use. I can't wait to frame it and put it on my wall.

I have been looking for a map of the world and USA to pin point my travels. I came across this map and love it! It has two big maps, tools to scratch off, and the colors look so pretty! I would buy it again to gift it. It's a nice map to frame and keep track of memories/ places you have been.

I was skeptical because some of the reviews were pretty bad. It came and all states/countries were interacted and nothing was scratched off. It is easy to scratch off and very pretty once the black is gone. We are scratching off countries/states as we learn about them. There wasn't any adhesive to hang it, but I think putting it in a glass free frame to hold it straight might be better idea.

The maps are amazing and the colors are bright! It is paper and comes rolled together so it crinkles when you open it up. I am going to find picture frames to put this in to keep it taught and to make it easier to scratch off and admire.When scratching it off, it leaves lots of black residue so make sure you have something under it to catch it. I used my vacuum to clean it up and it works fine. Just be sure not to put water on it or it could warp.Love it though!

These seemed to be a lower price than others, but the quality was gorgeous. Great gift for the traveler couple!

My husband has wanted a map like this while we're living in Germany. He wanted a way to keep track of all the places he's visited. It takes a decent amount of pressure to remove the scratch-off surface. This is a plus so you don't accidentally take too much off.

I gave it to my dad, who is impossible to find gifts for. He shocked me by sitting right down immediately and scratching away. The colors were lovely, and it arrived in perfect condition.
