Life-Changing Product
My whole life I’ve always used the highest end, expensive hair care products, with my go to staple brand being Pureology. I have very long, thick but fine-stranded natural blonde hair so protecting & nourishing that is a top priority to me. I think most women (and even men) would agree hair care is highly personal to your individual body’s needs so I can only speak to my own experience with this Aveeno ACV shampoo. I’m in my mid-thirties and also have fair complexion/sensitive skin. My dermatologist was the first to recommend trying this shampoo but I ignored her since I assumed being a “cheap” brand that it’d damage my hair & I wasn’t willing to compromise my hair for my mild skin irritation. But after my hair stylist also brought it up, I finally bought a bottle & it changed my life. A) it gently but fully cleans my hair with an ultra satisfying foaming type lather that I can feel working through the grease in my hair as I massage it in. B) my hair doesn’t tangle in brushing after my shower C) my hair is softer, shinier & stays clean longer. D) my skin doesn’t have any dryness or redness dermatitis type reactions from this products ingredients. Literally all around the most effective shampoo I’ve ever used. Well fast forward 3+ years and it’s still the ONLY shampoo I use. For conditioner I still use Pureology (mostly Nano Works Gold) & other “must haves” like Olaplex Bond No. 8, K18 Molecular Repair Hair Mask etc but this ACV shampoo is worth its weight in gold in my opinion. I never in a million years would have tried this product without those professional recommendations so I hope this review helps someone else discover how wonderful it is. PS my husband now uses this ACV shampoo too and within a few months it somehow helped reverse his life-long battle with cystic back acne. Win win!!

Great product
This is my favorite shampoo. As someone who struggled with excess oil, I don’t have many issues with this product. It smells great, my hair is healthy, and I can’t complain! I’ve never had any issues with the bottle leaking during shipping, either.

CLEANS and CLARIFIES your HAIR without SCALP DRYING Sulfates!
I wanted a shampoo that doesn't contain PHTHALATES.They are a series of widely used chemicals that are demonstrated to be endocrine disruptors and are detrimental to human health. They've been associated with reduced testosterone production in men. I wanted a shampoo that doesn't have SULFATES to avoid extra scalp drying from frequent usage. I wanted a shampoo that doesn't contain PARABENS, a mild estrogen disruptor with concerning environmental effects. The first ingredient in this product is Oatmeal, it's demonstrated to be soothing when used topically on skin. I have found that to be true when using Aveeno oatmeal based shaving cream on my beard. I like that this product contains apple cider vinegar but it is not stated to contain Vinegars live MOTHER. It provides stronger antimicrobial action, it probably doesn't contain it. So without all these unwanted chemicals does it work? I found it removes unwanted oiliness from my hair, but only when used a couple times a week at most. This minimizes an unwanted dry scalp, and the reactive overproduction of oil, thats commonly produced by skin, in its effort to compensate for the unnatural drying effect, when using ACV too frequently. To PROACTIVELY compensate for this drying effect, I ADD 14 drops of TEA TREE OIL , and 2 teaspoons of additional ORGANIC ACV that contains its MOTHER'S live bacteria, to the STOCK Aveeno ACV shampoo. The TEA TREE oil moisturizes the scalp, helping to offset the undesirable scalp and hair drying effects caused by the extra ACV. The added organic ACV w/MOTHER provides enhanced hair clarification, and provides antimicrobial topical skin benefits. They are BOTH anti-inflammatory! After washing using the custom ENHANCED ACV shampoo. I have experienced good results by using a small application of Acure orange and watermelon conditioner. I also use Acure orange and watermelon shampoo All other days, because it has a similar, bad chemical free formula. I have found Acure shampoo is lightly naturally scented, gentle, and doesn't dry out my scalp. It can be used daily without causing unwanted scalp irritation. Aveeno ACV produces very little to no lather unless you rinse and repeat, but it's still minimal. Acure shampoo shares this same characteristic. It's probably a byproduct of the same missing chemicals not used in both products. After using my MODIFIED Aveeno ACV twice a week, and Acure Orange & Watermelon shampoo all the other days, and both always followed with just a little bit of Acure orange and watermelon conditioner everyday for a year, It leaves my hair manageable, soft and shiny for a couple of days. Additionally my scalp condition has improved with less irritation and minimal dandruff. This combination works for me! Because everyone's HAIR, SKIN and ENVIRONMENT are SO DIFFERENT, your results WILL vary. I recommend giving these products a try. I was pleasantly surprised by the results. It potentially may work for you as well!

Clean soft hair
Aveeno is my most trusted brand. It does work, not on first wash. My daughter felt clean and soft on first wash, after multiple washes she started liking it. It work with dry frizzy hair, it doesn't over dry. Good price point too.

Good Clarifying Shampoo, Slightly Drying on Hair
The shampoo smells great and is very concentrated — a little goes a long way. It cleans the hair and scalp well and removes buildup effectively. However, my bottle came unsealed, which was disappointing. Also, it left my hair feeling a little dry, so a good conditioner is definitely needed afterward. Pros: • Pleasant scent • Concentrated formula • Cleans hair and scalp well Cons: • Bottle arrived unsealed • Slightly drying on the hair

This saved my hair!!
THIS IS FANTASTIC!! (Skip to last paragraph for summary) I have thick, wavy hair/Irish curls and a LOT of it. I recently moved somewhere with incredibly hard water. For a month or so I was struggling with uncleansable greasy patches in my hair (I typically run on the oilier side, so this wasn't completely unexpected), dandruff (which I've never experienced before), and eventually mild hair loss (which was concerning, to say the least). I tried EVERYTHING. I added a shower head filter, got a new shower head completely, changed my shampoo/conditioner, added in a pH clarifying shampoo, stopped using conditioner/products, added more conditioner/products, slept with wet hair, air dried hair, blow dried hair, hair in a bonnet... you get the gist. But still, nothing worked. Until... PROS: This shampoo saved my hair. I alternated this with my usual shampoo every other wash day and occasionally about once a week or so, I threw in my pH clarifying shampoo and... all my previous symptoms were instantly gone! It clears up any mineral buildup WONDERFULLY (pro tip: let it sit for a minute or so to get best results). It smells fairly of apple-cinnamon which is delicious. CONS: I will say, this can dry out my scalp and ends (which typically run oily) if I use it too often which is why I alternate it with my usual shampoo. SUMMARY: Worth a buy, especially if you're dealing with hard water/mineral deposits. Can slightly dry out hair, so either alternate with another shampoo or use a really good conditioner. Let sit for a minute or so on scalp for best results.

Love Averno
I love Aveeno lotions so I decided to give this a try. I bought the shampoo and conditioner. I'm one of those people that have many many bottles of shampoo and I actually have a big closet in the bathroom with 2 shelves just for my shampoos. I love what this does to my hair. It lathers up thick and is easy to rinse. The scent is light but fresh. My hair feels clean and soft. I don't have issues with my hair but it's long and thick so I need products that clean/clarify and detangle. It does not weigh my hair down like most conditioners. The shampoo gives a beautiful clean, gentle but effective. I can go about 3 or 4 days in between shampoos now. The Aveeno name is quality and now I can say it's true for their hair products along with their lotions. It tinses clean and quickly so there's no residue left in the hair, no greasiness, no weighing down, nothing but clean hair. I bought my 2nd set tonight. My husband always tells me to clean out the closet because he's never seen that many shampoos. Now that I discovered this, I will be cutting down in buying other propane wasting money. Btw, I donate my mostly full bottles to a homeless facility that is very happy to get them.
