I just installed this today and will update with further testing. This required a 2.25" hole saw to drill PLUS I had to chisel away a little more at the hole to make this fit. I have not tested the audio ports but the standard size SD card reader and the 3 usb ports work fine. I noticed that when I had two USB devices plugged in and the hub plugged in only to my computer there was not enough power to provide to both devices. Both devices I had plugged kept flashing in alternation with each other. When I plugged one of those devices (my corsair keyboard) into the hub AND an external power source (power strip) then there was enough power to provide to all devices on the hub simultaneously. I also noticed after plugging my keyboard (which is connected to the hub) into my power strip, now the hub (by way of my keyboard) provides pass through power to my computer that now my computer's fans and LEDs run when the computer is turned off which is cool but at the same time I do t want the LEDs to burn out or the fans to stop working now that they are on 24/7. All because of this hub. I have attached photos so you can see the LEDs now on even when the computer is off. You can also see my computer case glowing. Will upload photos of the hub at a later time.

Great USB 2.0 Hub w/ Card Reader. Will Buy More.
Bought 2 of these... and love them. Would be nice if they had slightly longer pigtails coming off of them, but it shouldn't be an issue for most users. If you are putting your PC more than 3ft. from where you plan to install these you might consider getting some USB 2.0 extension cables. I didn't need it in either of the locations I installed mine. Card reader works perfectly as does the USB 2.0 inputs. My only gripe would be the SUPER bright blue LED on them. This LED is BRIGHT. Still, that's a pretty easy fix and doesn't take away from the functionality of the units so I didn't knock anything off for it. The shipping takes forever to the States... but they say that up front so again, I can't be upset about that. These are the nicest in desk USB hubs I could find that had a card reader and was compatible with all versions of windows. I run Win 7 64bit on both machines these are in use on and have no problems. Oh, and use a 58mm hole saw to install. This information is lacking EVERYWHERE. I couldn't find 58mm so I used a 57mm and hogged it out with a file. Took about 10 minutes to install... no biggie.

Built for convenience. Mediocre durability.
The convenience of having these ports in easy reach on top of your desk is great. That being said the build quality on this item leaves much to be desired. It works but no telling for how long. I got one of these and 8 months in the card reader stopped working. It was replaced by the seller but even the replacement died after about 6 months of use. Everything else works fine on it. USB, Headphone and Mic jacks haven't had any issues. Now I just use a different card reader in the USB ports. If you're buying this for the card reader I'd advise looking at other products. If you're looking for easy reach convenience to connect some accessories this thing works great. I do enjoy the convenience of it.

Very good choice of hub, I'm happy.
It was a bit smaller than the hope on my desk, so I had to use some stuffing around the ring to go it fit right, but it was obviously my mistake not to double check the size of the hole exactly...But at the same time it was my only option like this cool combination of plugs and connections...Overall I am very very satisfied.Get it to organize your desk off of wires and s***,aand specially I love it when you don't have to go behind the Mac to just plug a USB flash drive or something like that...I do recommend this.

Ok but could be better.
Sound gets noticeably worse when speakers/headphones are connected thru this. Also, it will not fit in a hole cut with a 2 1/4 (57mm) holesaw. Card reader and USB ports are ok and the build quality is good.

BUYER BEWARE - shoddy internal workmanship, not USB 2.0 spec.
I wanted to love this. I even have a hole in my brand new desk cut for this, and it just doesn't perform as advertised. I contacted the seller for a replacement in case the first one I received was faulty - the second one exhibits the same problem. This hub simply cannot supply the power needed to spin up a USB DVD drive or a USB hard drive. The hub works fine for USB Memory Sticks and SD Cards, but beyond that - good luck! I have tried using the hub from dual ports on a new iMac, and also from a high end powered hub - neither makes any difference. Upon opening the device, the workmanship is shoddy - the manufacturer hasn't cleaned any of the solder flux, and the wires are poorly terminated. BUYER BEWARE!

It works.
I ordered this unit, a USB 2.0 hub, and it works as it was designed.

Sleek and functional
Works great, all the features work exactly as defined. Fit was slightly smaller than the pre-installed grommet holes, but that is on the desk mfg and not the hub. Shipping speed was rather fast considering it's was an international shipment. I would buy again and would recommend.

Works fine. Cables could be longer.
These work fine and are really useful to have on the desk. A USB 3.0 version would be nice! The cables really could do with being longer - the way they're sized seems to assume that either you'll use extensions or your PC is sitting very close underneath.
