Note that Automatic pump doesn’t turn in until it reaches almost 7 inches. Very powerful. Doesn’t work with garden hose tho. Had to attach separate hose. Overall great choice and worth the $$

I bought this pump to move water from a back part of my property that was flooding regularly. It sits in a submerged 5 gallon bucket. The auto shut off (or rather auto turn on) works great. I could have gone with a smaller hp pump in reality. The water it pumps can get pretty murky with a lot of debris and it works fine. I went with this one because it didn't require an external float and fits nicely in the small bucket.I wound up using a hose from an above ground pool before the flat discharge so that it would make the turn out of the bucket without kinking before the run further so that took a few things to figure out the best. There probably is a more elegant way to do this but for now it has been solid even with heavy rain.

This is a garbage product. The automatic switch does not come on. It worked once and has not come on since. Had to buy an adapter and did not come with a hose. Save your money. Amazon should stop the seller from ripping people off!

Because of EXTREME water in my Sump Pump basin, I installed this pump as an auxiliary to work with the existing pump. It has been pumping faithfully and constantly for 2 weeks, reducing the work from my main pump. I am thrilled with the Auto on/off as it is ideal instead of having to have a secondary float switch. The price was fantastic and I will probably be ordering another as an additional back-up in case of fail.*FOLLOW UP - After a little over 2 years of almost constant service/running, this little pump finally gave in. I have been more than impressed with it's reliability AND have just ordered another one.

Product arrived when expected. Was looking for a dirty water pump, with minimal pump start water level. Tried another pump before which had external float, but that float didn't start pumping until 18" high. This new pump did the trick. Been using it in a shallow pit for about 2 weeks now, and seems work good, so far. The manual/documentation is generic and cryptic, lacking clear instructions. They say we can adjust the start/stop manually (customize) to suit desired water level needs. I want to tweak mine, but the instructions leave me with more questions than answers on how to accomplish this. No diagrams or pics to reference, and verbiage is generic. It's like they stick this pamphlet with all pumps, regardless of model type. Would I buy again? So far, yes. It suits my needs for now and price was fair.

Not the same suction power as the 1hp model I bought 5 months earlier at the same price point. The automatic on /off switch quit working on the 1hp. Had to rework it to make it work. Returned the 1/2 hp one

This is pumping straight up eight feet. Then it travels horizontally for another 40' to discharge. It does that without issue. It pumps fast. I have not tried the manual setting but the automatic setting works fine. It has a very long cord (probably 10') to reach an outlet. I have nothing negative to report.The only suggestion I have for the seller is to offer a 'check valve' to install on the outlet side, or at least a reminder to purchase one before installation. A lot of water runs back down the eight foot pipe that immediately fills back into the cavity.

The pump work as expected. I use this in my pool during the winter to keep it from over filling from rain and snow melt. I am able to se ti on my second step, set it and then forget it and the auto switch / float does its job and turns on when the water level gets too hig and shuts off when it has removed water to the desired level.

The float constantly sticks on or off. Had to return it.

Stopped working bought in sept of this year and now stopped working. Would not recommend! Thx
