DeLOCK133059 RJ45, Various, 16er Pack

The securing clip broke on two RJ45 cables, these are just what I needed to get me out of trouble. Great product.

I had a connection on a cable that I had run a long distance with lots of routing and I didn't want to replace it but the clip had broken on the connection. I had it taped on but this is now a much neater more permanent solution. I did have to remove the remains of broken clip to make this work!

These did exactly what I hoped they'd do. Work really well and feel nice and secure. Saved me having to replace a very long ethernet cable that is wound around my office and which was driving me mad because the RJ45 plug wouldn't stay in my laptop. Sorted! My only gripe was that I had to buy 16 of them, but I'm sure one or two will come in useful in future.

Tried one on a standard plastic RJ45 plug with a broken security tab and it went on easily and repaired the plug. Also tried to repair a high quality RJ45 plug which was slightly wider and the DeLock tab wouldn't fit over the connector.As most RJ45 plugs are the standard plastic type, these will work and save having to get a new cable of re-attach a new rj45 plug.

Did not work. Once you've pulled off a broken top clip from your rj45 cable plug and then insert one of these clips onto that plug, it becomes far too big to fit into an rj45 socket. One reviewer said it works on some cables. If that's the case how do you know before buying if it'll fit any of your cables?
