POWERTEC 1/4"-20 T Track Bolts 20 Pack for T Track, 1-1/2 Inch Long T Slot Bolts for Universal T Track, T Track Accessories for Woodworking Jigs and Fixtures (QTB1008)

I used to use regular 1/4-inch hex-head screws in T-tracks, and it caused me a lot of trouble. If the head of the screw wasn't completely smooth on all its surfaces, it often dug into the metal of the track, raising a burr and preventing the screw from sliding smoothly. Then I had to spend time with files, smoothing the burrs and smoothing off the screw heads. These T-slot bolts never have that problem. They work smoothly every time, with no difficulty. This is the second lot of 20 that I have ordered, because I needed them. Of the 2 lots of these I have bought, I have had no failures of any kind. Well worth the very reasonable price.Don't try to use these to tie a dirt bike down in the bed of your pickup truck, for dog's sake. They are way undersized for that. As you should know.

These are just t-track bolts so not much to report, but they are as expected.

I ordered 5/16-18 @ 1.5 inch, the thread and size are true to measure. This size was hard to find so I'm glad that POWERTEC carries them.

Fit into crossbars on my roofrack with ease. I have only found one with a rough edge, so it did not slide in properly. Other than that, they are strong bolts and i trust them

Seems very sturdy, fits in the slot. Exactly what I expected, which is always a bonus.

Work for what I need

I wanted a longer Tee bolt for use with the Powertec universal T-track. I am using the DCT 5 Star Knobs which I think are great but the bolts they come with were not long enough for my application and now and then their bolts would come out of the Powertec track as they fit rather loosely. These bolts are designed for use with the Powertec T-track and so far I am very happy with them. The combination of the three items mentioned makes for quick and precise clamping. I made my own clamps using 1/2 inch Baltic birch plywood and I am using the clamps to hold wood in place while I hand plane it. If using a router, a table saw, a drill press or some other power tool, I will use a combination of strategically placed strong toggle clamps to hold wood in a jig instead of a T-track set up. Stronger clamps for use with power tools is safer and my preferred method.

The extruded bed of my Desktop 3040T CNC has two types of channels, and all of my existing 1/4"-20 T-Bolt hardware slides through without issue, and I needed additional T-Bolts for some additional work holding hardware I created. These POWERTEC T-Bolts have a different profile. The T heads are wider and thicker that my existing T-Bolts, and about the same length. While the additional thickness was not an issue, the width was, so enough T-Bolts spent some time on the belt sander, wearing down the width until they slid smoothly down the narrower channels. This 20 pack is more than enough to last me for some time. Fortunately, I only have to adjust a few of them to slide through the narrower channels.

These work well, but do not fit any of my aluminum T tracks. I use them on my CNC router tables waste board, that has its own T slots cut into the wood. The slots that I cut into the waste board are wide enough to accept these over sized T bolts.If you are looking for bolts that will fit your aluminum T track then DONT buy these.
