I am reviewing Sundance melatonin, which at the time of this review was $6.13 for 60 dissolving tablets. I try to take the lowest dose possible of melatonin, as too much just leaves me feeling terrible the next day. In general, some of the doses I see are just insane; 10 mg or higher!! That much leaves me feeling like I have a hangover. For me, 1mg still seems to be enough to get me to sleep well, without the side effects, so I have been taking half of one of these, which comes in at 1.5mg. They do work well. I get a gentle and restful sleep with these, and wake up feeling more rested than when I was taking higher doses. I also like chewable or dissolvable tablets because I don't have to find something to drink to take it at bedtime. The taste of these is good, not bad, not excellent. I much prefer my go-to brand here on Amazon, the Carlyle Fast dissolve berry flavor (I snap a 3mg in half). The big issue I have with this product is price and number of tablets. It's just not a good value. You get a big nearly empty bottle with a small quantity of 60 tablets resting at the bottom. 60 tablets for $6, while other brands (like Carlyle) give you 300 tablets for just $2 more. To me, this brand just isn't a good value, not to mention you'd be back here ordering it again every few months, getting yet another plastic bottle, more packaging and delivery time/fuel, which just seems inefficient and wasteful.
