A thrill to read.........
I was really looking forward to reading this book- the protagonist and I share the same first name, Holly. Believe me, Ms Sokoloff's Holly leads a much more exciting life than I do. Having said that, this book is indeed a thrill to read- from the first page to the last. I couldn't put it down- it took me 48 hours to finish it. I just had to see what was going to happen next- it has twists and turns that one doesn't expect. I seldom read novels anymore, so for me to actually start and finish this one is something. Thank you Myrna for turning this one out for us- Looking forward to more of the adventures of Holly.

Hand of Fatima plot predicted the future?
When I read this book shortly after it came out, I had no idea that parts of the fictional plot of "Hand of Fatima" would come true. What makes the story so important is its plausibility. The protagonists in this story put themselves in danger to prevent a disaster to the United States. Some feel that we currently have a big government that is threatening, secret & too powerful. There is indeed a government cover up story in the book just as we have accusations by some Congressmen of sinister government cover ups today. Can the protagonists in the book stop the danger to the USA? You must read this book to find out.. The thrilling story in the "Hand of Fatima" is timely & meaningful. You will not be able to put it down.

A great read!
I just finished reading this book, it was a quick read, about 24hrs for me. Honestly the beginning was a tad slow but it quickly picked up and really held my interest. Lots of interesting "theories"! I would definitely recommend this book. Maybe a sequel?

Good read.
A lot of characters and somewhat hard to keep track. That being said, this story appears to track current events both in the political world of the US but the world. Good read.

Very Much Enjoyed and Learned a Few Things Too ....
To me, a good novel must be both entertaining and make readers feel smarter after they finish reading. This was just that. Having worked in DC for the last 10+ years, I thought I had decent understanding of the middle east politics. After reading this, I feel I was missing out an important human perspective. I could see myself feeling like the characters in the book and see things through interested parties' eyes. On top of that, I can now distinguish various Jewish holidays and a few smart words to say. I just bought 2 hard copies to share w/ a few friends. I highly recommend it.

Good idea, but....
I finished this book because the author had a good plot idea. However, it was very difficult to read. I have to wonder if the author has an editor! Sentence construction was very poor. Many times there were 2-3 'buts' in one sentence. Verb tenses didn't match, periods were left out frequently, and the words 'glad' and 'blushed' were used so often I had to wonder if the characters were capable of any other emotions. Hopefully, the author will take a good writing class and then be able to communicate her interesting plots more forcefully.
