Cheap, and easy, but not sensitive enough to test for lead in drinking water
I ordered these without doing enough research. The bottom bucket on the lead test gives values between 0 and 20 mg/l (same as parts per million). EPA guidelines require levels below 15 parts per *billion*. Unless you're comfortable with levels 100 times higher than EPA guidelines, this test won't give you enough information to decide if your water is safe.Safe levels for the other substances mostly seem to at least include the first non-zero color swatch, so lead isn't your concern, these strips will probably work for you, though it might be worth looking at some other brands which seem to offer much more precise measurements.

It was everything I needed
Our water had a weird smell and our clothes were showing up with some weird stains. Had our laundry machine checked and the company suggested the stains were due to a water problem. Ordered the strips (which are extremely cheap by the way) and received them the next day. Tested our water and it turns out we had a ton of chemicals in it. Tested our water filters and found out the carriages were old and we were consuming a ton of those chemicals. We got really scared and had a professional lab take a sample and test our water. The results turned exactly the same as the ones we got with the strips. 100% recommended! Don’t hesitate when taking care of your family! We learned you never know whats in your water!

Tested multiple water sources, same results from all 3
I used three of these test strips on city tap water , then my well water and water from a distilled gallon of water from my grocery store. All three received identical results. These test strips have to be bad because there is no possible way for all three of these sources to test exactly the same. There may have been a slight difference in alkalinity from the distilled water jug but it was a very slight difference, if at all. Very disappointed because I really wanted an accurate water test of my well and tap water. These were somewhat inexpensive, so I guess you get what you pay for.

Easy to use
I was concerned that our water pipes might have too much lead in them, so I bought this home test kit. I'll be sharing this with everyone I know because there are a TON of test strips in it!It was super easy to use and read and made a great science experiment for my homeschooled tween!

Saved us from drinking contaminated water due to bad plumbing
Our water started having a weird taste and sometimes a slight change in color. After a lot of comparison and reading guides on how to test at home, we decided to buy this test kit. Comes with a very useful plastic pipette to store the water and has a lot of information on every parameter. Also has a lot of strips and is accurate.
