great little computer
Bought this for my little ones to be able to play a piano game on piano wizard academy, which I highly recommend. It works great with the program and I'm looking forward to adding more kids educational games and apps. The seller was very responsive to my questions and went the extra mile to make sure this computer would work for me. I've only had it a couple of days, so I will update if any issues come up in the future. So far, so good!

Great window platform tablet- Like a mini laptop
I was looking for a tablet that would feel and work like a laptop. I bought a mouse to use with this tablet and now I'm thrilled with my purchase.Originally I bought a Samsung tablet. I didn't realize it was an android and not a window platform tablet like this Asus T100tam-C12-GR, 10.1...It's only been a few months since I purchased this tablet, so far, it's perfect!

Not the correct model!
Ordered this ASUS T100TAM and instead received an older T100TA. The T100TA has a slower processor, a worse screen, and a plastic case instead of metal. If I wanted a T100TA I could have purchased it for $60 cheaper!

T100TAM -C12-GR; concept great, product not so much.
I studied many reviews of earlier versions of the T100TAM's. I felt that with the release of the -C12 -GR those reported bugs would have certainly been resolved. Unfortunately, they have not. The core problem issue with ASUS isn't necessarily the individual problems, it's that they are failing miserably with whatever qualiy management system they are using to fix, measure and monitor customer irritations. As an example, out of the box, my new T100TAM was packaged poorly, using a used FedEx folded envelope as shipping stuffing (from Amazed Deal). The volume rocker switch would only work to decrease speaker volume, but not increase it. After prescribed charging the unit would lock up, not allowing me to turn off and on, without multiple cycling. Picture distortion resulted on one of the apps, so I had to uninstall and re-install.On two occasions the screen went black in the middle of using applications, losing entries. Adding the grey metallic cover may have been an aesthetic improvement, but sharp corner edge exposure is enough to cause small cuts. De-burring needed, ASUS!There is a reason Consumer Reports rates it at 60%. The issues I reported occurred in the first day. The concept is amazing. The product quality isn't. I now await the return of a new, repaired unit, which catagorizes it as a refurb, which is what I should have bought to save time and money. It looks like I will have had the unit two days and ASUS two to three weeks.Windows 8? MS, when are you going to implement customer focus groups before releasing OS's that customers don't want. It merely promotes switching to Apple.Update on ASUS repair status: Attempted to follow up on RMA status. ASUS on-line RMA support requires entry of RMA number. After each attempt (two days) of trying the entry designation would not allow me to enter RMA number. On the third attempt day I called customer support and they told me they couldn't help me because they were updating their systems, so try again, in 24 hours! Beware of ASUS products and support. Not customer focused.

Not what I expected, more of a tablet than a laptop.
This product is pretty average in terms of what it can do for you as a laptop.Been using it for a year now, processing has slowed down much more since when I bought it. This laptops good for really one thing and one thing only, running Windows apps smoothly, and trying documents.Everything else it does seems to be slow, from doing things as simple as watching videos on YouTube through Google chrome, or playing browser games online. This is more like a tablet than a PC, if you want to watch YouTube videos you're better off using the app rather than accessing it from a browser. This is not what I expected since I was hoping that I would get both the experience of using a laptop and a tablet at the same time, however the capabilities of this device seem to be limited only as a tablet in my opinion and experience. In sum, this device is more like a cheap tablet attached to a keyboard docket, and simple overpriced as a laptop. I would rather spend my money on another product than this.

Good tablet, but be aware of its issues before purchasing
I have a love hate relationship with this tablet. It works beautifully, but when it decides that it's about to throw a fit..watch out. One of the main problems for me is the fact that sometimes it will decide not to turn on. Even at full charge I have to press the power button again and again, until finally it decides to actually work. It often freezes on the lockscreen and nothing short of a ten minute fight will make it responsive again. And then, there's the battery issues. I had to find a different charger than the one it came with because it charged so slowly that it was losing battery while plugged if I used it.So why the 4 star review then? Because other than these small annoying issue the tablet works very well. I'm a college student, and it's the perfect size to take with me to lectures, take notes on, and do homework while I commute. It's fast, hasn't crashed on me as of yet, and holds battery power for an entire day (so long as I turn it off when not in use.) The windows 10 update has also made the tablet easier to use, and is an overall better experience than the previous versions. Here are a couple of solutions to the major problems :- On windows 10, avoid using "tablet mode" it seems to cause more issues with boot ups and lock-screen freezing- Charging time is SLOW (15% per hr or so) if dead charging. To speed up charging try changing the charger (this is pretty hit or miss, but try 2amp chargers ) and then charge while on and on airplane mode.- Avoid leaving tablet on powersaver. For some reason it freezes the lock screen as well- Do manual updades instead of automatic (other reviewers mention this often.)-To extend battery life turn off the device if not in use- Avoid draining the battery or power up is very very painfulOverall I think this device is definitely worth owning long as you know what you are buying.
