SummerHawk Ranch Mason Jar Beehive with Accessory Kit

Since I just bought the beehive and have no hive established as of yet, I can not rate any higher. But from what I see so far the kit was by far the best deal if this style of hive is what you are looking for to get started in bee keeping. The one thing I would comment on is there isn't a solid board to slide in the bottom stand. It is wire mesh, which I can see in hot times of the year will be nice to help with cooling, but our winters get cold and I am going to have to revamp the stand to allow for a slide in board. I am curious to see how well the bees fill the jars. Also it seems the brood box is narrower than what I call standard, comparing to the other size boxes I am used to working with. So either I will have to buy a box from the manufacturer or build my own. I do like the viewing window idea so I don't have to open the box to check on the hive.
