Seems like good protection, but hard to get it to stick flush
Being advertised as SUP tape, I assumed it would be cut specifically for a SUP. It's not, its just normal straight cut tape. So when you put it on, it does not taper towards the end where your board is narrower and it was impossible to make it stay flush to the board since this tape is pretty rigid. I tried the water spray technique as others had suggested for the second side, but it still does not stay flush even with tons of elbow grease. I am sure it will tear off after a few outings. Maybe try the 2" (I used 3") or cut the ends to better fit your particular board before you apply it.

i tried to apply myself and ended up going to get some rail tape at a local shop because i ruined this one... not as easy to apply as you might assume with the contour of the rails and length of it... seemed like really quality tape though - nice and thick/protective

Little tough to install unless practiced at it, instructions say nothing about using soapy water to help squeegee out air bubbles, and when I went to the web sight to watch the video as instructions suggested... the video was down...But its on my board... so we will see how its lasts...

Fine product. I'm happy.
Seems like a fine product to me. It was easy to install by myself. there might be a bubble or two but I'm not obsessing. Its thick and strong. seems like good protection.

DO NOT USE ALCOHOL TO CLEAN RAILS!!!!
The product is fine. My problem was with the instructions. I should have known better, but I followed the instructions that said to clean the rails using isopropyl alcohol. I used some safety glass cleaning wipes with iso. alcohol, which proceeded to discolor the rails on my brand new custom-made surf-SUP. The thing looks like hell now after one session. Thanks!!!!

Excellent product. I thought it was easier to apply standing the board on is long edge so that you can see both the bottom and top of the board easily. By taking my time I was able to apply with very few small air bubbles.
