I got both types of these covers as I wanted to replace the ear seals on my backbeat pro 2 headphones. I know that I could have bought direct replacements, but I wanted something a bit thicker because my ears were getting sore (big ears). I am willing to be that the double gels are a bit more comfortable, but the gel plus foam ones were considerably thicker so I went with those. They do give me a few more millimeters of clearance around the ears which is welcome.For installation you just need something thin to run around the edge under the lip of the seals and they go right on. I also had to cut out a very tiny piece of the lip to get clearance to the locking tabs. Just took a minute.For comfort, other than what I have mentioned about size, the outer material is plastic so they will not be as comfortable on the head as the OEM ear seals.I need to use them for a week or so to make sure that the foam holds up, but so far so good.

My headset is a SoftCom C-40 and I don't think they are I don't think they are in business anymore. Anyway, I couldn't find any specifically for that model and decided to try these. The price was reasonable and , yes, they fit. A little tough to get them on but they work.

I thought a bit expensive but they were easy to install contrary to other comments about installation

I went looking for replacement ear cups for my Avcomm head set, so when i found this i wasn't too sure what to expect considering the price was so reasonable. I finally got them in the mail and couldn't wait to try them out. Put them on which took a little finessing, but finally got it. Put them on and the comfort level went from a 5 to a 10! Absolutely would recommend these ear cups for anyone that might have worn out old foam ones that just don't fit as comfortable as they'd want too. These have a really nice fit and cut out most of the aircraft nose! Highly recommend these as they fit just like $1000 dollar bose headset does!!

I have an ASA headset and I’m in training for my instrument rating and commercial license. The headset is good and stuff but the seals were horrible and would hurt my ears like someone is stretching my ears. The installation process took a while because he really have to snug in the curved ends. Really makes a difference in comfort and noise cancellation it’s better for cross-country flights.

No complaints. Feels just as good as OEM.
