Only used it once but sturdy build and very good size filled to the top with briquettes the coals lasted for hours of cooking time

I've lit hundreds if not thousands of barbeques. I pride myself on the fact they've never failed to light. I always build a little pyramid around each fire lighter allowing pleny of air to get around. But, and I don't know why, I thought I'd get one of these, probably to see what I was missing.What a difference! The coals, ALL the coals, light up evenly and quickly creating something of a furnace within 3 or 4 minutes. Pour them into the base of the barbeque and you get nice even heat all around.With a bigger barbeque I've then had to put more unlin charcoal ontop of the lit ones and wait until they've got going too.The only downside is that with such an even heat across the whole barbeque I don't have a cooler area to put food that's pretty much done. But I think I could fix this by pouring less charcoal at one side. That's my next plan!As for the container itself. Very sturdy and very basic. Absolutely perfect!

It's a BBQ, FIREPIT starter !

Had no issue with this (No melting handle as some have had). These really do help get the BBQ going especially if your not good at lighting one.Only gripe is I wish I shopped around. There are other good ones out there for less money.
