Sea Salt Shack | Hawaiian Black Sea Salt 4oz

I had a color party and our color was black. This was a great addition to the food we served!

This salt is a great finishing salt for light color dishes. This salt is the opposite of a large crystal size white flaky salt. The salt is small dense crystals that are very dark. I like to think of it a similar to black sesame seeds. When plating I enjoy using this salt on something like whip cream as the bight color contrast is beautiful and the salt really brightens the sweetness. The best part is salt lasts for a long time in storage if done properly with out losing flavor!

It has a very subtle flavor on it's own and no real odor. I've tested it with several dishes and it does nothing when paired with some flavors, but really pops with others.If you are looking for an inexpensive way to play with your tried and true recipes, buy this!

I was hoping for a black sea salt with a bit more texture. These are small grains, consistency not unlike regular table salt. My preference is for somewhat chunky, little sodium bombs. The flavor is OK; the price is right. Will try another brand next time.

Black salt is awesome for those exotic dinners...Way easier to order on Amazon than it is to go to high end grocery store and pay three times the price.
