Strong alcohol smell, doesn't work on waterproof casts
I was under the impression that this was going to spray an aerosolized form of talc or baby powder into the cast to suck up moisture and make it less itchy or uncomfortable. When I sprayed it onto my open hand, it seemed like it was basically just spraying rubbing alcohol. Granted, it was cold. I was concerned about how wet it was. But we used to anyways and it seemed like it calmed down my 6 year old who was carrying on and on about how itchy his cast was. I don't know if it could have been just a placebo effect. But prior to buying this, we had 3 days in a row of not sleeping well due to the cast itching so I was ready to try anything. We switched to a waterproof cast after about 2 weeks. I saw that the old cast wasn't too smelly (probably thanks to the alcohol killing any bacterial growth) and it was dry, despite my concerns that the spray would get it wet inside. But the waterproof cast was itchy for my son also, even more so because the inner lining is plastic. And there was ZERO relief from using this cast spray. The silver lining was that he liked using the long plastic straw to scratch the unreachable itch. But it only comes with one straw and if you lose it, you're done. Like other reviewers, our straw came bent in half to ship, but it didn't seem to interfere with usage. I can see if you are trying to use this one-handed by yourself, it can be difficult to use.

Worthless. Will not spray. Also does NOT seem to be FDA approved
My WD40 and keyboard cleaner are sprayed through a straw that attaches to the nozzle. This nozzle does NOT attach. And I can't hold it in place while I depress the spray BECAUSE I'M IN A CAST. Spray goes everywhere but where I need it. It's worthless. Maybe if you have slave labor make defective parts at least have a Quality Control check that works. Also, I work frequently with the databases on FDA approved products. This product is NOT in any of them. The label says it is "FDA approved" but it does not appear in any database for drug or devices (since it blows air and talc, it conceivably could be a device accessory to the cast). It does not bear the labeling that an FDA-approved product would have. I called the number on the label and they could not give me an approval number or date. It seems to be a fraud.

Phenomenal Product
My kids have been in multiple casts and this product, hands down, is the BEST. The long straw that can be fed into the cast is just the right size for almost any cast, it’s about 12” long. I would make a wiggling motion with the straw as I withdrew it out of the cast. Per my daughter, “instant relief!!!”I would test it on another part of the body before using in a cast because it does have some additives for killing the “funk smell” that comes from wearing a cast. Two thumbs up and Five Stars.

This stuff works. AMAZING.
I have a broken wrist with a short arm cast. The second day my arm started itching. I ordered a can of this stuff to give it a shot, and I cannot imagine not having it! It stops itching, cools your skin, I am also prevents any bad smell underneath. The can was a little smaller than I expected, but for how well it works I don’t mind. I am expecting the Cannes to last me 2 to 3 weeks.Amazing stuff.

Poor applicator design but great spray
The contents of the bottle work really well at preventing smell and itching in my foot cast. It even helps prevent my ankle from feeling chafed when I’m walking on it. Though I’m using it in the winter and it might be less effective in the summer with increased sweating. The downside is the design of the applicator- you have to just hold a long straw to the nozzle and spray. When it fits perfectly it works well and directs the entire spray into the cast through the straw, but I find that at least 75% of the time half of the spray ends up on my fingers because the straw isn’t perfectly fit. I would recommend a better bottle design. Though right now this is the only spray I found on amazon so I would buy it again if there were no better options because it does do its job to a degree.

Quick relief for a frustrated kiddo
My 9 year-old broke her arm and the first couple nights in her cast were filled with tears. She's a strong girl, but the persistent itching was just too much for her to sleep. Tapping on the cast to help with the itching only worked for a minute or so and it would just come back. In an effort to do something, I bought this product and it was a life saver. I don't know if it's the product itself or if it's psychosomatic or both, but it does the trick. A short burst of the spray cools the area and makes the itching stop for a notable while.I read a few of the reviews about issues with inserting the tube into the can, so I was prepared for issues if they came up. Although the tube is a really tight fit, it did ultimately go in with some effort. It reminded me of trying to insert the little red tube in a can of WD-40 back in the day. It will take a firm grip and some strength, but it should go in.

Best itching and odor relief on the market
This is an EXCELLENT way to avoid the itch and smell from wearing a cast. Insert the nozzle, do a short spray, readjust and repeat until you cover the entire affected area. It doesn't take a lot to get relief that lasts for a while. I've tried baby powder and baby oil (which also help with itching and odor but are very difficult to apply) as well as other commercial products. This is by far the best. Add a drop of essential oil and the odor problem is gone!
