Disposable Nerf knockoff; worked a little while and then died.
I have done a lot of reviews on foam-flinging blasters of a certain set of companies (*coughHasbrocough, *coughNerfcough) and have gone so far as to measure the dart velocities with my ProChrono Digital chronograph. Now, a chronograph measures the shots in feet per second (FPS), and this blaster has a smart Air Restrictor (AR) like a certain blaster from a certain maker (*coughI'mJustGoingToSayItcough: it's the Nerf Roughcut and Zombiestrike Roughcut), and like this blaster it is modeled from, it's smart AR loses power the further down the line of chambers it fires. In other words, from top to bottom chamber, it gets progressively weaker shots. This is actually the second Blaze Storm Roughcut-Doppelgänger that I recieved, the first being a defective one that comically spit out all the darts on the third shot (3rd chamber defective) a few feet in front of me. The first shot gave a savvy velocity reading of 78 FPS, and I was pleasantly surprised at the raw power. Since I have had a couple Nerf Roughcuts with that same AR defect, I was okay with sending the Blaze Storm back (thanks Amazon) for a replacement. This current Blaze Storm was able to shoot the darts in order from 1-8, but when tested on the ProChrono the first chamber gave me a 67 FPS reading. This is a considerable difference from the last defective Blaze Storm I had, but I can't keep returning these so I decided to keep this one on the premise that it wasn't useless after the second shot. The last shots in the series are quite pathetic, I must say, because they are in the mid forties in FPS. This is weaker than first generation N-strike readings, so you can imagine my disappointment there. By the third series (5th and 6th chamber) the FPS is about as strong as a Nerf Jolt (50-55 FPS). To give the whole blaster an average reading of 60 FPS would not do it justice, so I will simply state that the first two shots have an average of 72 FPS using standard Nerf Elite darts (blue, green, white, orange, and decorated Rebelle darts). I have found that the smart AR pegs at the base of the darts push into them, causing harsh intentions. The darts that this blaster comes with are the typical letter-code-less China darts (the ones with a dot "." for a letter code), and it is not the suction darts as advertised on the box and website (one could complain about that false advertisement). I have found that when I used the standard Elite Nerf darts, they shot out like the first defective Blaze Storm I received. Apparently, this Knock-off Roughcut prefers the knock-off Nerf darts as well. As an update, the cheap plastic-toothed gear rod connected to the priming handle completely snapped. Oh well, guess this is a single-star product after all.

Cool shooter
It feels cheaply made compared to other nerf guns we own but it's good looking and the way it shoots is cool
