Dainty yet substantial material and large enough to be used for more than just decorative.Update: Just a warning! The quality of these is VERY good and the feel/texture is not unlike some thicker lotion-infused paper tissues, so I accidentally threw one away by feel after holding an assortment of snotty kids tissues in my purse. Couldn't figure out where my handkerchief went until I realized what I'd done! Whoops! :(They have held up well washing in lingerie bags in a regular washing machine, too.

My husband always carries handkerchiefs and they always come in handy. So I searched for a "female" version for me. I didn't like the look of the embroidered flowers, a little too old fashioned. These were perfect! There is a little lace on one corner, but nothing over the top. It is so soft!! My husband forgot his one night while we were out to dinner and I handed him mine. He commented on how soft it was. His are more linen like and have a rougher feel. These are soft and wash well. I would highly recommend!

I bought these over a year ago, and carry one with me everyday. I use them frequently and they are quite handy, more so than tissues. They’re not too small, nor too big, and fit well in a pocket or my handbag. They are nice and soft, and comfortable to use on my sensitive skin. I use them for my allergies (sneezing, drippy nose, itchy eyes), when I need to use eye drops, when I need to pat my damp forehead in hot weather, and when I need to wipe off my shirt with water after I’ve spilled or dripped something on myself when eating out (they don’t leave behind paper napkin pieces, especially on darker colors). They are also useful for wrapping small, breakable items inwhile shopping. I’ve washed them many times, even in hot with bleach, and they come out great. I’ve not had any problems with the lace corner fraying, tearing, or becoming unsewn. These would make a nice gift. I would definitely buy them again.

Shrank significantly after first washing. Flimsy, insubstantial fabric, and even after ironing and starching these aren’t suitable for everyday use (and frankly, not pretty enough to save for special occasions). One lace corner is itchy when it touches your nose, and looks like it was added on to justify the price of a marginal item. Not recommended, not a good value. Save your money and buy some really nice linen hankies, which is what I ultimately did, instead of this cheap alternative.

If you have never used cloth handkerchiefs before, they do take some getting use to. They feel quite different than disposable tissues. I began using them straight out of the package but after I washed them the first time, I was surprised at how much softer they were. I do recommend washing them first. I have been hand washing them in the sink and they dry very quickly. They do become quite wrinkled but I use my flat iron to press them and it only takes a minute or two. I have been very happy with these so far.

These are nicely made and look good; easy care as well and have a decent hand.However, I did contact the seller pointing out the men's product states that its organic whereas the ladies handkerchiefs do not.I asked for a confirmation that what I purchased is organic fabric. The seller said they'd check into this yet I received no further response.It appears ladies are being short-changed for the same product being sold to men, aside from the lace insert; men are buying an organic product and the ladies version is not organic for the same exact price.

I love them, but had to wait until I embroidered on them to give you a review. I will be ordering again, but the constant request for a review is way over the top.

I received these hankerchiefs yesterday and washed them for the first time today. Half of the lace on one hankerchief tore off in the washing machine, even though the description says they are machine washable. The others are still in the dryer, so I'll have to see if they survive.
