Halloween: The Changing Shape of an Iconic Series Paperback – October 20, 2018

Very nicely put together look at the Halloween franchise. The book is full color and has a chapter devoted to each film in the franchise (except curiously part 3) looking at the actors the soundtrack and even the masks used in each film. The writing is top notch and The author is very knowledgeable on the subject. Yea you’ll probably read things you already know about this franchise but you will also find new insights and facts. I consider myself a pretty hardcore Halloween fan and even I found things I didn’t know in this book. The book is not a Crystal Lake Memories kind of book chock full of interviews with all the players but the author does speak with some of the cast of the original and the sequels. If you are looking for a deep dive of the Halloween series (again minus part 3) this is it.

This isn't as much a history / making-of book as much as it is a critical analysis of the series. The author is clearly well-versed in the Halloween films and knows what he's talking about. I wish the wonderful Halloween III had been included, but I understand why the author chose to omit it. The book is filled with dozens of color stills from all of the Myers films released through 2009. Brief mention is given to the 2018 film near the end of the book as that film had not been released when the book was published. Maybe it will be included in future editions. All things considered, I'm very happy with the book!

Nice book, thought I was the only one who loved Michael Myers this much! Well done and It’s definitely a keepsake for my Halloween collection!

Excellent book. Considering in the history of this franchise of more then 8 films not one book has been written about it is stunning. This is the only really written history of the franchise and it is worthy. Only recommendation put out also on Kindle.

This book could be used as a college dissertation about this particular brand of slasher movies. It's unlike any horror movie compendium, written very well but still leaves large room for interpretation.

This is a great book on the Halloween franchise. It discusses all the movies except Halloween 3 in great detail and if you have any interest in the Halloween franchise this is your book. I'm extremely happy with this book about Halloween🎃

I got this for my boyfriend who is a Halloween NUT! He LOVED it!!! Plenty of facts he knew and some he didn’t know too! Worth the money :)

I absolutely love this book! I read it all the way through and so much, even with being a huge Michael Myers fan, that I didn’t know!
