Very good - but a little bias to RGJ, and not much about the medical side of things, as the troops were very well covered from the medical/helicopter/hospital net

Interesting Overview
This is the second edition of the book which was published 1996. It covers the period 1969-1994 quite comprehensively for an overview. The book has many illustrations to help convey what it was like on the ground. The book offers a quick review of the UK armed forces activities in the six counties. My one niggle with the book is that Appendix 6 "Tours of Duty in Northern Ireland" was not fully updated which is a bit of a pity.Although the book is slightly biased in favour of the intervention, it is, on the whole, a reasonably neutral account doing it's best to avoid as much bias one way or the other. There are many books out there covering the Operation Banner period and this one stands taller than most. Worth buying.
